Dashcam Recommendations

[2025 Ram Limited]

Hey ya'll,

I'm looking for your recommendations on good quality dashcams and how you did the install.
After seeing all the issues people are having with batteries (for lots of other reasons), I feel a little gun shy to install one and end up with a dead battery.
I'm in a 2025 Limited and have had no issues with anything so far (knock on wood).

I have been on the waitlist for the new FitcamX for the 2025 Ram 1500 since December. I received notice a couple of weeks ago that they were ready and would start shipping soon. I received mine a couple of days ago and had a chance to get it installed today. I loaded it up with all the options. I have the FitcamX Rear Camera, FitcamX CPL Filter Anti-Glare Circular Polarizing Lenses, and FitcamX Fuse Box Cable Hardwire kit for parking mode. Hardwiring into the fuse box and installing the rear camera added time to the install but worth it. So far, I am happy with the new FitcamX and...

Since @bigdodge deleted his thread, I thought I would start another. This camera looks pretty sweet. Very clean install compared to the cameras that mount to your windshield or dash.

Been running one for a year, well built, fits perfectly, app works well. No ugly double sided tape on the windshield.

I only pull video when I need to, so I don't need all the tech that some of these give. I use it for the purposes of protection when driving, so...
