I drive a 2019 ram 1500 classic 5.7 hemi, I was wondering if anyone knows what device and software I can use to make my own tunes for the truck and data tracking, I currently have a superchips f5 and a unlocked PCM but it just won’t do what I’m looking for and I can’t seem to find a tuner that will allow me to me to make a custom tune and upload it to the truck, after hours of research, google is saying I need the Diablo i3, but Diablo will not let me purchase the tune software without a dealers license, any help would be greatly appreciated as I’m new to tuning.

Check with HP Tuners. They probably restrict the software so you can't make money doing it.

This, and they probably don’t want someone blowing up their truck and then blaming them

If you buy the Diablo it does have some adjustable parameters, what kind of adjustments are you looking to make?

I tuned my 2020 with HP Tuners. But first I had to sent my ECU off the HP Tuners to get it unlocked.

I suggest investing in a HEMI tuning course. It's not intuitive. Also tuning the Neural Network requires a Neural Network trainer. HP Tuners has a NN trainer. $50 gets you 30 days access.

What does the neural network tuning provide?

I just purchased the I3 Diablo, it arrives this Friday. anyone has experience on the best canned tuned?
Is 91 octane better than the "diablo tune"? ( I don't have 93 gas stations)

From my last experience with Diablo tunes on Dodge vehicles, the 93 tune with 91 fuel was better than the 93 tune with 93 fuel. And don't use the cold air intake tunes if they have those. I've seen it more than once, on a dyno, where the vehicle lost horsepower switching to the CAI tune over the standard rune for that octane level. Also, learn to data log for STFT, LTFT, STKR and LTKR, and how to tweak the tunes to improve them. Last I played with Diablo, you were able to adjust shift points, add/remove fuel in small percentages, and add/remove timing up to 5 degrees IIRC, and do both fuel and spark in certain RPM ranges.

You still need to get your PCM unlock to use the canned tunes. And at that point, you'd have been better off ordering the Diablo I3 from a reputable tuner with a custom tune for your vehicle, rather than just buying the handheld directly from a Diablo a custom tune will always make more power than a canned tune.

If you are looking solely at the canned tunes, and don’t have access to 93, then just go with the 91. I assume if you are not going to run the highest octane, and you are only interested in the canned tunes, that you are getting the Diablo for more than just performance capabilities… Like MDS lockout, shift points, etc, correct?

Yeah, I see that now. I got a little carried away - I don't know why I was assuming the canned tunes were kind of designed for the particular vehicle.
What is the approx. $$$ for a custom tune?
Thanks

Depending on tuner, usually $200-$500 for a custom tune. With the higher price usually offering unlimited tweaks to the tune should you add bolt ons later on.

One of my local friends was using Diablotoona for his custom tuning for a while. He works on honor system with you paying what you feel the time is worth. My friend just sent him $50 a month, even if he didn't ask for any changes. He has a local friend so his tuning now because he's modded a little beyond email tunes.

Yes, I was in between the edge pulsar and the diablo because I want to correct the tire size, I have the forward collision sensor on and wanted to see if I can deactivated (I don't care for it)
but the biggest thing is that I wanted the maximum hp performance that I could get and it seemed the diablo could give me that.
unfortunately after buying i saw the posts that I could have buy it from hemifever with a custom...
