It's no issue, for me. I just like to know how it's supposed to work and what the capabilities are.
On my '21 Limited, I had one button for ACC and one button for regular CC. In the whole time I owned that truck, I used ACC ALL. THE. TIME. I think I might have turned on the regular CC one time in the 3 years I owned the truck.
If there is no traffic, CC and ACC work the same. If there IS traffic, it would be pretty rare for me to want to have my truck run right up on someone's bumper and me have to either swerve to change lanes to avoid plowing them or me have to get on the brakes myself. If traffic is sparse enough that I wouldn't have to run right up on them before I could change lanes, then I can change lanes before I get close enough for the ACC to start slowing down. Or I can just put my foot on the gas pedal for a few seconds to override the ACC and maintain my speed until I get changed into a new lane.
Not having regular CC is not an issue for me, at all. But, if it's an option via some setting I can change, I still want to know.
