Crew Cab Subwoofer Boxes..

Just finished building my own box. I wanted to keep the storage bin under the back seats so this was my only option. Took awhile to build since I’ve never done it before but happy with the way it came out. Box has somewhere around .57 - .59 cu.ft. Volume.
Using: 1-10” JL Audio 10W1v3-2 sub & Sony XM-GS100 amp.
When I have time I will install it.
Do you still have the plans for the box, you made??

Yes, I have it installed and it sounds great. As of right now I have no problems with it. Very glad I took the time to build my own box.

Is everyone getting these boxes and removing the factory subwoofer?

I wish Fox made a SEALED 2-12" box. I'll probably go with NetAudio's sealed 2-12" box.

That or, get SubThump to make a good single 12" box. I like his designs too.

I just got the 2x 12 ported box today. I'm going to throw a couple jl 12w0v3 in it and run them at 600rms. I'll let you know how it sounds. Just waiting on my amp to arrive!

I've also got the fox 2 10" ported down firing box in my truck with 2 Skar audio sdr 10's & it's sounds amazing. I have people asking what do I have in my truck & when I tell them it's 2 10's they're in disbelief and of course I have to show them.
I am looking for this exactly. I am in between 3 options... using the 2-12" up firing box, using the adapters to the same box for 10's, or the downfiring 10's... I lose airspace in the downfiring, so I can't decide.. I am hoping to go SDR or EVL's... Have you heard the similar upfiring box side by side??? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thank you!

So how does it sound? I am in between the 12" up firing or the 10" downfiring. Thanks

I have FOX Acoustics 2-12 ported with 10" adapters and could not be happier. In my 4th gen I had his 2-10 ported and only switched due to the new layout in the 5thgen without storage bins. I was one of the first to get FOX's 2-12 box V1, only downside is it covers up my storage bins. I have the MOPAR all weather mats and it sits fine on top of them. My amps fit fine behind the box under the back seat. Pics were posted on thread below post#370.

5th Gen Stock Stereo Upgrade Options?
I am looking at this option as well to get the most airspace... Either load it with 12's, use adaptors for 10's, or get the dow firing for 10's... Very difficult to decide

I got my sub box from this place.
1- Subwoofer Boxes Archives - NET Audio

They built it specifically for my Sundown SA-12, built and tuned per the Sundown recommendations. Needless to say it hits hard...very hard.
I can still access my floor boxes with it in place.

Here it is when I first installed it.
I have since upgraded the wiring and have a much larger amplifier.
That little amp is rated at a dyno proven 1500 watts RMS but it just wasn't enough for that power hungry SA-12.

I built a 10” box to fit in the Ram storage bin. I don’t see why you couldn’t build a second to fit in the other side.

Ugh...exploring boxes for my new crew cab and all I see are these fugly low effort sub boxes that stick out from the seats and cover the floor bins. Looks so trashy and cheap...

Time to bite the bullet on the stealth JL :( as it seems to be the only option unless you want that eye sore of a fox box sitting in the back circa 1994. The only good looking box was a user made one by @Waterfowler41 that puts all these others to shame.
