Cooper ATP2, Cooper AT3, Pirelli Scorpion

I’d like to see some pictures of the APT 2 that have lots of miles on them like +40,000 miles to see what they tread looks like when worn down.

Old thread....but I am shopping for new tires for my 2022 Ram 1500 and came across this. I want to get rid of the 275/55 R 20's that came stock, and go up to a 275/ 60. I've read you can go up to 65's without rubbing, but will prob stick with 60's just to be safe, as I don't want to do anything to suspension.

Also, thought I would add that I did have a set of these Cooper ATP II's on my 2500 that I used for snow removal, and can tell those of you asking that they performed great in the snow (2016 RAM 2500 w a Western V-Plow....traction was never an issue) and tread life was phenomenal, quiet on highway, wet pavement traction was great, and off road traction was good too, albeit I don't do any serious hard core off roading, but do get it off the pavement from time to time. So those are the reasons I'm considering these for my 1500. I like the agressive looks of the tread design on these, which is why I chose them previously for my 2500, put over 50k miles on them, and could not have been happier with the ride and performance.

Oh man, I'm not ready to see pics of snow yet! I hate the extreme summer heat but also not ready to sub zero.

Thanks for the reply. I did consider the Toyo too but can't get white letter in those for my size.

The Cooper ATP2 are on sale right now. $660 (just the tires) after $100 off. Also a $50 gift card from Discount Tire.
The Cooper AT3 don't appear to be on sale so they are $928
Scorpion AT Plus are $860

That ATP2 sure looks like a good tire, like mentioned, just not too many reviews since they are Discount Tire exclusive and new in 2021.

I have Ran a couple sets of the AT3 COOPERS ,I think the AT2would work good also.

I pulled the trigger on the Cooper ATP II's. Ditched the highway 275/55's for slightly larger AT 60's. Looks more "trucky" now 😀

Great looking truck and the tires with the white letters, and the slightly aggressive side wall look fantastic. I had these tires on a Chevy 1500 3 years ago, and was very pleased with them. They looked great, handled rain and light snow just fine, and provided a comfortable ride. The only downside was that they did not have the 3 peak snow rating, but they worked just as well any tire in real life situations.
For my new to me Ram 1500, it still has the stock Goodyear Fortitude tires, which interestingly, are SL load rated, but have a 51 PSI max rating vs most similar SL rated tires in the same sizes show the max PSI spec at 44 psi. I am looking at these to replace the Goodyears, but also considering either XL rated or LT tires since I use my truck for towing a small Jayco camping trailer as well.
I'm an old school fan of the white letters being out, so that is typically a factor that narrows down my tire choices when shopping as well.
