So I have a wireless phone charging pad plugged in to the USB port. The Uconnect screen flashes a little square dialog box with a USB error message approximately every 5 seconds. Does anybody know how to turn this off or or cure it? It's rather annoying.
I think the truck is looking for a smart device on the other end of the USB cord but all I want to do is charge my phone wirelessly without error messages.

There is a fried transistor in the media center plugin circuit board, and the media module need to be replaced.
The part number for my fully loaded 2021 Rebel was 68397098AE. I got from Nismopar.com on Ebay, it cost $100, and I confirmed with the seller that the actual part he was selling ended in "AE" and not one of the previous versions...AB, AC or AD.
To install it:
Remove all four square plastic covers at the lower corners of front and rear sides of the console - you will have to move the seats back and forth in order to get access to all four.
Remove the 2 "boomerang" shaped trim covers from each side of the dash, these frame the top front corners of the console, and are removed by pulling them straight out towards the back of the truck.
Now that the covers and trim is removed, removed the 6 10mm bolts and side the console back toward the rear of the truck. with the left side rear seat folded up, you will get around 1 foot of room that allows easy access to the console area that houses the media plugin module.
Unplug the 3 plugins by squeezing the wire release tabs that you will feel on the bottom (not visible) wire plugins.
Plug the new Media Module into the 3 wire plugins, and verify that the new module corrected the problem - I bet it does.
The old modules slide out of the back of the console housing, towrads the dash. To remove the old module from the console, there are 4 tabs, 2 on the the top and 2 on the bottom. In order to depress the 2 upper tabs I slid 2 tiny screw drivers between each of the console media center housing and media module, then I blindly reached under the media module and felt for the 2 hidden bottom tabs, pressed them in with my fingers, and the old module popped right out.
To reinstall the console, slide it back into place - there are 2 large alignment pins at the front that slide into metal holes in the dash - install the 6 bolts, tightening the 2 at the dash first, tighten the other 4, reinstall the square plastic trim covers, and snap in the 2 "boomerang" trim pieces and you're done.
It took me 20 minutes from start to finish, yes I have had a lot of mechanical experience, but this is an easy repair and the only difference between me and you is it might take you longer.
The local Ram dealer wanted $800, including the diagnostic.
