I’m in the same (fortunate) boat…albeit sweet cigars, mild scotches, and shooting without hunting for her. I still think I did pretty well ;)
Do you or anyone else recommend a sweet maduro cigar with a mellow aftertaste?

Have you tried any Acid cigars by Drew Estate? You might try grabbing a sampler pack. But for what you're asking for you might try their Kuba Kuba Maduro.

That cigar case is sick! And I'm digging the cigar lounge, Mike. My cigar lounge is in my garage. An exhaust fan that runs through the attic  . But at least I have a wood stove out there, so no complaints.
Before we put that in we would sit on the deck during nice weather and in the garage during winter. Winter really sucked LOL. Our wood stove is only good for temperatures above about 40 degrees, so we would supplement it with a propane heater. But our feet would still freeze. I don't miss those days. 🥶

3 cigar shootout.
Perdermo 20th Anniversary Maduro for the win!
Smooth, creamy, good taste.
Aged in bourbon barrels.
About a $10 cigar.

Spending too much money on shootouts, but best way to test.

I love Perdomo cigars. Their 10th anniversary is good too

The bitterness and/or harsh flavors could be from the cigar being too wet.
Most retailers keep their humidors way too moist because of the foot traffic in their walk-ins. Some over humidify to compensate for transit times.

Just about anything tastes better than a $4 stick LOL. Just kidding. You can actually find some really good prices online. I normally buy my smokes online from Famous Smoke. I rarely pay regular price for cigars. Check out their Cigar Monster site for daily specials.

You’re probably right about the $4 dollar cigars. They don’t have to make a box for them, so that’s where they are cutting costs … I know, to good to be true.

Yea, I use Famous-smoke also. I will check out the Cigar monster. They also give a 15% military discount if you call their 1-800 number with your order number after you order on line.

I did find some $5 cigars that are smooth, not bitter, just not as much body as some $10 sticks.

Hey don't knock those $4 sticks. I puff on the cheapies when I'm out on the Harley. Don't want to waste a good lol

Sitting on the dock of the bay! Just kidding. I'm sitting on the tailgate of my RAM "down by the river!" lol. Finally trying out one of the Warfighter cigars I got in the 6 pack sampler. First on deck is the 7.62MM. A few puffs in and it's nice and smooth with an easy draw. Off to a good start so far. 20230402_174213.jpg 20230402_173832.jpg 20230402_173916.jpg

Looks like a great place and time to enjoy a relaxing smoke
It was a little chilly out today but it's not a bad place to hang out for a bit. When they put the docks out in a couple weeks it will fill up with boaters and jet skiers. There's a ferry boat that shuttles cars across the river too. When I'm in the area I like to sit out and watch the people while I have a cigar. In the better weather I'm usually on the Harley.
