I don’t smoke very often but when I do, I want a good tasting cigar. The last time my youngest son visited us from out of state, he brought a couple of cigars from a guy he met, who runs a cigar business. The company is Warfighter Tobacco, owned and run by veterans. I know there are a lot of guys on this forum, who either served, serve, or support those who serve, so if you get a chance, check it out.

I texted my son earlier this week, saying that I had smoked the last one and commented how good it was, and I asked him to pass that on to the guys at that company. Today this fantastic gift arrived in the mail:

The wife and I love cigars. We even put a cigar lounge in our house so we can enjoy them year-round. I'll definitely check these out. Thanks for the heads-up!
Wow, I’m pretty jealous about the cigar lounge, and a wife to join you there. I rarely smoke, but my wife never has, so you know how those discussions go lol.

Just for reference, the cigars I smoked from these guys are the 7.62 MM Garrison Rosado.

Yeah, I feel pretty fortunate that I've found a life partner who likes the same things I do. Cigars, scotch, and guns. The holy trinity LOL. Here's a couple pics of the cigar lounge to make you even more jealous...

Oh yeah man, that’s the way to go. Very nice space 🥃. And you say your wife also drinks scotch with you? I really like my wife, but now I may need to rethink some things…..

Thanks, we're enjoying it. She's the one who introduced me to it. Before that I was more of a rum guy. 🥴

I tried the warfighter field series today. 5.56 , 7.62 , and 50 cal.
I am not the cigar aficionado by any stretch, but I liked the 50 cal the best.
The 5.56, and 7.62 seemed to give me that aftertaste that makes you want to spit after a draw.
The 50 cal didn’t do that. Looked, smelled, and tasted the best to me.
I will try the garrison series later.

I'll have to look into these Warfighter smokes. Are they a new company?

I have never heard of them till Hemidude mentioned them. I don’t know anything more than their “about” on their website.

Some of America’s finest started the company and I try to support when I can.

They are not expensive cigars. But I do wish some other cigar snobs would give their reviews.

I support veterans when I can, but when I can get better and significantly cheaper stuff I will.
One example is Black Rifle Co. I love the story and veterans, and their coffee is good IMO… not worth the price for me however. I have argued this with one of my coffee snobs I hunt with.

I agree. I support when and where I can but I'm not gonna be a sucker doing it. I just looked up the Warfighter cigar and they seem to be about $10/11 per stick which isn't too far fetched theses days. I'm going to order one of their sampler packs for about $65 off their website. I'll do it once to try them out and see what kind of smoke they are. If they are **** then I won't buy them again. I just need to get my @ss off the recliner to get my credit card lol

I haven't tried the Field series yet, having been pretty pleased with the Garrison. Similar to your strategy, I will gives those a shot after I'm done enjoying the latest stash.

They have been around for less than 10 years so I guess some might call them new. When my Son met the owner at a Veteran Business event, it was only near the top of his favorite things - He was super stoked that he got to talk to the guy who took out OBL

50 cal Field vs 50 cal Garrison.

50 cal Field for the win. Smelled, and tasted better IMO. Sweeter, less bitter and harsh.

I cut past the cap on the Field. They tend to come unraveled and does not keep the tobacco in place on the end, Rookie move.

Damn, I forgot about this thread. I can't access their website from work so I'll see about ordering a sampler pack when I get home tonight.

You might try using a punch or v-cutter instead. Less chance of messing up the cap. I only use a guillotine cutter on torpedo style cigars.
