Cheap way to get Lights in the trailer while not hook up

I needed some lights in the cargo trailer at times when i'm not hooked up to the truck. Looked for an inexpensive option. so for about $20 I worked up this idea. battery box with on/off switch and a simple dial dimmer. I was able to hook up a 32' long LED strip in there. I haven't tested it at night yet so I might need to swap out the strip if this one isn't bright enough. but it'll work.

Same here. I have a wooden valance over the window in my office and some of these same Amazon lights behind it to give ambient light at night. The lights are adjusted to give just enough light so I don't have to turn on a light while at the desk after dark.

Yes they do, but it would be unwise to use that to power lights...

Yes my trailer does have the breakaway box for the brakes.

Here is what I bought. I'm considering using the hot wheels battery adapter for my Bosch 18v batteries instead.
