I have a Canadian 2019 new RAM Sport with 22" rims and Goodyear Touring tires.
Could I do either of these:
1) Buy a set of 20" rims, mount appropriate 20" tires (such as Firestone Destination ATs), and use them on the truck safely?
2) Find a 22" tire like the Firestone Destination ATs and put them on the truck safely.

We did a measurement and found that the 20" and 22" rims and tires combinations are within 1/10" in diameter.

Thanks for sharing your expertise ...

Update:

Service Manager/Tech Expert at my dealership said I could flip the 22" rims in favour of a 20" rim intended to be used on a 5th gen RAM. This would include any original equipment alloy sold with 5th gen Rams (from MOPAR), a generic built to fit them (aluminum for $250 CDN apiece), or, hopefully, a plain steel wheel that he expects to have available closer to this coming winter, when many 22" rim owners will want to remove and store their rims in favour of cheaper rims and winter tires. He suggested I wait a while for the latter. This is what I am going to do ...

I was able to buy a set of Yokohama G015 285/45R22's for Red July. I will feel much more comfortable in Texas/New Mexico/Arizona/California towing the trailer, and driving into the desert on them. I will put the original equipment Goodyear Touring up for sale when the Yokohamas arrive. They have 12000 km/7000 miles on them. Any idea what they will be worth on the used market?

Have driven on the "Yoks" for about 5 days, all sorts from freeways to gravel country roads. I would say they are very very close to the quiet ride of the OEM Goodyear Eagle Touring tires, being very slightly more audible when exceeding 100 km/h (60 mph). Otherwise, no difference. When I go off road and in snow or rain, I'll report on that.
Currently, I am storing the OEM Goodyear's, deciding whether to keep them, or try to sell them off. Still have no idea what to charge ...
