This thread is worthless without pics. I'm very tempted to get my fronts redone darker and get my rears done. With F150s I had the fronts tinted to match the rears - 20%. This time, didn't specify what % to go with, just match the rears.

Here in VA our laws are minimum of 50% VLT for front sides and 35% anything for back sides and rear.

I'd probably do something like Stratos 50 for the front sides, Stratos 30/35 for the back sides and rear, Stratos 15 for the pano, and if it truly is clear and isn't noticeable from the outside, something like Air 80 or 90 for the windshield.

Here are some photos

Did they do 20% on the rears as well? Yours don't look much darker than mine.

Picture taken in the same spot...two years apart. The F150 had 20% and is either the same or a tad darker than the Ram...IMO. Panoramic roof shade was open in both the pictures - only difference is the F150 had a black headliner and pillars while the Ram is tan. That might be what's making the difference.

Yes all windows are 20%. Reason I think it looks lighter might be because I didn't tint the sunroof or windshield.

Don't the rears come tinted from the factory on a quad cab? They look the same as the fronts.

Did you have additional tint applied to the rears?

I believe 20%.
I was told they would use ceramic tint on all my windows maybe I miss understood them. It appears my fronts match my rears and I know I ordered 20%.

Ah. They most likely used a clear film on the rears then.

Photos make it look more opaque than it is in person. Pictures taken at 3:30 on a clear day in Texas with the sun slightly West of being directly overhead.

5% Front / 15% Rear / 5% Back Glass / 30% Sunroof

5% Front - 15% Rear - 5% Back Glass - 30% Sunroof -Sunshade Open.JPG

15% Rear Window - Sunshade Closed.JPG

@alwi228, here's a photo of the sunroof at 30% and the amount of light it lets in. You can see the 5% in the front and 15% in the rear match each other fairly close from the inside looking out.

30% Sunroof - 5% front - 15% Rear.JPG

One trying to show you the difference between 5% an 15% in the back/rear. The contrast is a little starker than in real life, but it gets the point across.

Going to match back on mine and might do a slight windsheld tint to cut some heat and uv with the ceramic stuff.

Llumar F! Stratos worth every penny but it is still EXPENSIVE :) Simular job with Pinnacle was 600ish 4 years ago, Stratos everything was 1200 after tax and discount this time. Tint shop owner called me after drop off "are you sure?". AC was idling today in mid-80s

I have 20% on front windows, and they're still a tad, just a tad lighter than the rears (and it's usually because the amount of light coming through the windshield, whereas the rears are darker all things being equal).
The problem with going darker than 20% is that at night you can barely see out and it's a safety issue, at least for me.
