Ceramic Tint Pics

When I got my truck it had front tint that measured 40% and factory rear is 22%

I changed the front to 15% and added 35% over the factory tint which now measured out to 9% afterwords

For reference; Before deciding on 35% for the rear we put a piece of 15% over the factory tint and measured it at 5%
Thanks, that's good info since I was thinking of putting 5% over the factory tint in the rear. I like the look of yours. Definitely seems like going 5% in the rear would be way too dark.

I did 15% front, 35% pano, 80% windshield, and it matches the OEM back windows perfectly. I will do the back windows at 80% eventually to complete it.

I like that. Not too dark for you on the fronts? Love the truck.
No it's perfect. I initially only wanted 25-35 on the front, but they said it'd still look lighter than the back since you get light from the windshield. I went with what they said, and I'm really happy with it. 80% on the windshield you can't even tell it's there. Heat reduction was night and day difference.

Had mine done this past Monday, fronts at 20%, 75% over the rears (might have been 70%, don't remember). Gotta go back and get the windshield done, probably at 75%. Xpel Prime XL is what I went with.

my truck came with factory tints, but really thinking of going with ceramics.

so many of you guys are not removing the stock tint, just installing the ceramic over the stock tints, right?

The stock tint can't be removed...unless you change the windows. It's sandwiched between the two panes.

Ceramic tint looks like regular tint.
Mine is 35 on the front doors and added 35% to the rear doors and rear windows. Windshield and pano have 70%, all ceramic tint. It is much cooler

yeah, the rears seem to be laminated in the glass, but my fronts definitely have film on them.
The fronts are not tinted from the factory so if there's tint on them it's a film. Only the rears will come tinted from the factory.

Then the dealer added it.

No manufacturer offers tinted front windows.

Getting my tint installed today. Installer has me a little worried about the windshield tint as he told me water can get under the dash and cause some issues. Hope that's not the case. He also recommended 50% on the windshield as that's what all his customers get to cut down on the glare. He has it on his and it didn't look too bad. I'm going with 15% all around and 50% on the windshield. Crossing my fingers it's not too dark.

I got 5% Llumar ceramic on the rears and 30% over the front. My wife’s SUV is the same, plus 5% on her panoramic roof and it makes a huge difference on both.

All done at Pro Tint in Plano, TX

I had it done on a previous truck (not my current one). Rolled the dice and all was fine because the installer I utilize does high end Mercedes here in Houston. Good luck.

Well my backup camera isn’t working now, so that sucks. But here’s some pics.
