Wanted to update for future reference. Today I bought a 2019 Ranch Sierra Extra topper off of a 2019 Bighorn Quad Cab 6.4ft bed and put it on my 2022 Laramie Crew Cab 6.4ft bed. Fits like a glove with no weird gap behind the cab whatsoever...uniform 3/4" from bottom to top at the back of the cab. Perhaps it is unique to this particular topper model but no issues at all...

Any pics…. ? Been looking for a used topper and this would expand my chances.

You bet...attached a glamour shot and two others up close to show the fit against the cab. Lastly, the silver truck was the quad cab it came directly off of. 20220602_170305.jpg 20220524_220207.jpg 20220602_170309.jpg 20220528_112154.jpg

Well 5/10 slipped to 5/24, called yesterday and now they are saying 6/7 ship.

Very little confidence at this point.
Called yesterday to confirm it was still shipping Tuesday and was told it's pushed to a 6/28 ship date....

I'm done with ARE. I don't know who initially dropped the ball, but I was told (and reassured when I questioned it) 6 weeks when I ordered. It was like pulling teeth to get an update, and all they would tell me was another week.

Clearly ARE has no schedule. I've been told they shut down in April to install a CNC cutter (I assume robotic router for windows, might be a cutter for the raw fiberglass) and the installation did not go well, set them back further and still isn't running right and several models need to be programmed. They are back to hand cutting, 10 per day max.

This Leer is almost brand new, is a perfect match and was a lot cheaper:

Once the trees stop exploding pollen the truck needs a wash and wax.

This is an A.R.E. CX Evolve with the windoors, top rails, electronic lock, and fold down front window.

I had to wait exactly 3.5 months but I got the shell installed yesterday. No noticeable quality issues yet and I’m very happy with it. I recently upgraded from a 2000 Tundra with a shell (last pic included because I kind of miss it) so I’m just happy to have a shell back.

Bump as this seems to be the main cap thread. Is there anything I should look for in a mid or high rise cap?
My LEER 122 cap is 90" tall at stock ride height. If you have clearance issues be mindfull of that.

When I ordered my ARE Z2 on 1/31/22 I was told 16 weeks and that's about what it took.

I’m looking to order the ARE Z2 for my BackCountry. Just waiting for a quote. Hoping it’s still not a 16 week ordering time.😲

In the meantime anybody have pics of the Z2 on a Crew Cab with a 5’7” box?

Just got my quote on the ARE Z2 at $4118.

Wow they really went up since I bought my last one. Almost $1000 more and that was a 6’4” box.😲

Yep, mine went up while they were making it. Price was protected off course.

Just had installed a Leer 100XR with sliding windoors, removable sliding front glass, tracks on top (no racks yet), keyless lockable lift gate, dual LED lights, and a clothes hanger. Great match for the granite color. Shot at out range out back in drizzle, and wow a cap is perfect for that!

Your price is nearly $1000 more than what I paid about two years ago. Here’s a photo of mine to help you make the decision regardless.

What wheels and spec ? Looks great!
OEM Laramie wheels, tires are 285/65/R20 BFG KO2’s, and this photo is right after installing the Carli Suspension commuter series with the Fox shocks and Rebel specific HD rear coil springs. Super happy with it.

Another price increase this week. Got a quote for a CX Revo too and it was $800 less than the Z2. Not too much difference in appearance but I decided to stick with my Mopar tri-fold for now.
