Well the wife, son and I are getting ready to drive from Edmonton to San Francisco to Las Vegas, total distance down is 4057kms with a shorter more direct route home of 2407kms. Decided to clean/wash and detail the interior and exterior. Also topped the tank off with 89 octane, normally go with 87 but decided to give 89 a try just for argument sake, not expecting much from it.

I have tried multiple times but cannot get my Borla exhaust tips to sit right. No matter what i do, right one sits abit high and left one sits low and abit right. Gap looks bigger on the left because when i traded exhausts and disconnected it from the muffler tip lifted up and melted abit of the black trim. 9510AE86-986F-4F0D-9B51-3C260426AE2E.jpeg22F7875F-40AA-4B08-AC71-59FA93771A93.jpegDE07B463-EDBD-4375-9FBF-D74EA9CD8926.jpeg

Made it home yesterday from our trip. Just over 6000kms total. Would have been alot better if the a/c system worked right. Got “cooler” air when i turned it on and by cooler i mean about 10* lower then ambient temp. Could only run it for about 15-20mins a a time, otherwise it would blow hot air or ice coming out, really confuses me how thats possible and wtf is going on with it. On the way home I hit a fox which broke that air dam that drops down when at highway speeds. It only broke the bracket on the left side but sadly you cant buy that piece alone. $650cad for the whole new unit, got it for $525 with military discount. Other then those 2 things the truck did awesome. 10.8L/100km (21.7mpg) which is awesome since my avg speed was 75-80mph

Nice. That's pretty good MPG. Sorry to hear about your truck, sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order

Already did that. I went to the deaer about the ac about a month or so ago. The part for the ac is on back order. Even tried getting it while i was in vegas but the closest one was in utah. As for the air dam i was hoping i could just buy the bracket but you cant. Ordered the whole unit which will be here tuesday. I already removed the old unit, at least it was super easy to do.

I personally would have saved the money and left it off. Don't like the air dam. Think it's silly. Especially for the reason you just had. Can't even clear a fox plus the plastic breaks.

I was thinking that after I left the dealership after already paying for it. Curious of how much it actually effects anything. Apparently suppose to improve fuel economy. After a 6000km trip, i dont really feel like going for a long drive without it to find out if it makes things worse or not.
