I'm thinking about a metal campershell for my 2023 ED Laramie. Have found a few through Google, looking for real world experiences.

Rough Country is leading because it comes with external molle grills on the side panels, and extra ($) molle inserts; also the lowest base price. SKU: ED1000-MB

Overland Vehicle Systems is a close second, like the safety mess behind the glass window. SKU: 70100007

Looking for others.

Important considerations:
-Made in America
-Military discount if available
-Rear window pass thru
-Your opinion matters, which one is best/worse - why?

Searched the forums for this, no results, maybe my search terms were wrong - is there a post already?

Thanks for your help in advance.

GoFastCamper.
my GFC. They also have one that does not have tent.

the only, and i repeat, ONLY camper system that is used in actual Baja pre-running and chasing. the ONLY camper that can take jumps. the ONLY camper that can support a vehicle's weight on it.
RC, even though they say it is made in US, the overall QUALITY feel like it's made across the Pacific in West Taiwan.
OVS... where do i begin... my friend's JT has one

that thing moves when offroad hard, and makes closing the tailgate on the JT a pain in the rear.
i also gave him a earful for getting that Chinese made pos. OVS REFUSE to install for him even though he picked it up at their warehouse.

GFC is made in Montana, using American sourced materials. It is only 295 lb with the tent on top too. Others even though they can be made here but could be materials sourced from overseas.
GFC probably has military discount. call them.
GFC has plenty of aftermarket support.
GFC is made for go fast off pavement. if something can handle the jumps in Baja, it can handle anything else you throw at it. It is also Arctic and Alaska proven as well. You can see my build thread.
GFC is the best if you wanna go off pavement. There's GFC, and then there's everything else (4WC, Oru, OVS, etc)

Found 2 others:

SmartCap EVOd Defender Truck Cap ED1000-MB

Duracap Explore KX204003019 - not sure I like all the windows.

Anyone else running any of these?
