Any thoughts, comments, ie regrets after taking off the air dams? I like the cleaner look but wondering if there are any noise side effects of removing them? Thanks! Was looking for a white truck when I stumbled across this one. I really never even considered this color until I saw it in person. It does show dirt badly, but it's the best looking color when clean IMHO.
This was the day I brought her home...

I plan to add the chrome hooks as well. Like the chrome takes me back to the old days. I only have 9500 on my factory tires but looking forward to getting the bf Goodrich ko tires white letters out of course. Maybe in the fall. Here is my truck. Big horn. And I Love Chrome! I added the chrome tow hooks. I am old school and I miss my OWL lettering on the tires. Will add them when time to replace the factory ones. I was looking for white truck but saw this and fell in love. Plus it had everything I wanted except the OWL tires...lol
is that a wrap?
How did building your own cover go, also I have order mine with mft and without rambox will that pose any issues with your solution. MahaloI love the color. I wanted a Rebel at first, but like the Patriot blue when I saw it on the lot and this one was maxed out with the fun stuff I wanted. I was torn at leaving it with the stock wheels but I just can't help but customize my vehicks so here is where it is currently. It has been leveled, windows tinted, and took off the running boards. I am ABOUT to make my on tonneau cover...why? Because I want to figure out how! hahah. Plus I bet myself I can make it for less than the obscene $500+ bucks a hard cover would be.

Well couple of things came into play. First I figured out that shipping the panels from the 80/20.net website was cost prohibitive. Ouch. And I began to worry about the buffeting of the panels at highway speeds. I thought I had found a solution by just sliding the panels into the sides of the utility rails (found a couple of pieces of scrap at work to practice with) but I couldn't figure out a good way to seal up the space at the joins between the panels. THEN what ended up making it all null and void anyway... I found a Lomax Hard Trifold Diamond plate cover at American trucks for an unbelievable price of $229! It was a return or something. Granted it was chrome... but a can of black paint fixed that! And boom... I really doubt I could've made my own bed cover for less than that...PLUS this one is made by the pros... so uh no panels go flying off while I'm running down the road! hahah...How did building your own cover go, also I have order mine with mft and without rambox will that pose any issues with your solution. So, you ceramic coated the paint? I am getting a Patriot Blue, so I wondered is that the kind of thing that would help prevent rock chips, etc. Did it change the look, the gloss or the color? Some pics of mine from a few weeks ago after getting ceramic coated and PPF installed. Will have to get some more when it's less hazy and the sun is really out.View attachment 95067View attachment 95068View attachment 95069View attachment 95070
