Really?? I honestly always just want to laugh whenever I hear turtle wax products being brought up but I should definitely give them a second look!! Lol I’ve been seeing members talking about this product a lot.
Honestly I refused to buy Turtle wax anything until I saw reviews of the deal and shine. Their ceramic spray line requires a 24hr cure to get the best durability but the seal and shine is immediately activated. Last about 6 months and can be applied to glass as well. It’s cheap compared to chemical guys and other uppper end products.

Turtle wax used to be a joke. They've upped their game and their new performance line products are close or better in product review testing than a lot of higher priced products. It's awesome to see the oldest company in the vehicle.care business revise their vision and change development.

Wow. You guys were not lying about Seal and Shine. I'm sold.

Another neat thing about the seal and shine is you can layer it with other ice products. Seal and shine first then top with ice spray wax then you can top that with ice quick detailer if you want. I haven’t done the quick detailer but use the spray wax. For the price it’s impressive

Wow! Your trucks all look awesome!. I just bought mine and the dealer did a quick wash before I picked it up. It needs work since it was parked under a tree at the lot for like a year! It is getting fixed by the dealer at a Restorfx location. Once it's back and cured properly, I am thinking of getting it ceramic coated professionally, but sitting on the fence about it. Mine is a work truck (Sales and delivery truck), but I have dogs and it will not be a garage queen. I want it to look good and I've had pretty good luck with cleaning my cars in the past, but never owned a black vehicle. I'm pretty sure it will get scratched even with the coating. Is ceramic coating repairable after scratches etc? - or am i just better off using the wax/seal methods mentioned above?

You would be best off ceramic coating it yourself, and maintaining it with sealants/toppers over the ceramic regularly.

I've been rolling ceramic spray waxes and happy with results. My last application lasted about 5 months and it takes about 20 minutes to apply it right. It may not have the long term protection that a premium detailer application would provide, but it works for me.

Ceramic coating on these Black trucks makes them look like GLASS. So happy I got mine done. IGL Coatings. Wash it every two weeks and hit it up with CarPro Reload every other month. It’s like looking in a mirror. Love it. Hand wash only, clay barred and machined polished once and I use Beadmaker every other week. I've had it for 2 years now with 27,000 miles. IMG_4165.jpg IMG_4045.jpg

I’ve only had my truck a month. It’s been in the garage almost the whole time, only has a couple hundred miles on it. After researching a bit I bought chemical guys black light shampoo. I figured it’s either a gimmick or it’ll work either way I wanted something somewhat high quality. I already have a foam cannon and high quality cleaning supplies. This photo is for reference, not of my truck. This is my commuter car. 2018 Elantra bought in December 2017, been washed a grand total of 3 times and never polished, waxed, or any of that. I like to keep my truck spotless, but a commuter car is disposable to me so I don’t put in the effort. I’m completely sold on this black light from chemical guys. The paint on this car came out looking amazing with a simple quick wash after not being washed since spring. Highly recommend and can’t wait to wash my truck with it.

Can anyone tell me the best touch up paint for us BDCP truck owners. I need to get some. Just had my truck ppf, and IGL coated. On way home road debris hit hood. I have a dent and what seems like a pretty good scratch. So mad right now! Here are some pics of the coating and the dent ... looked great for 20 minutes!

I decided shortly after purchasing mine that I was going to ceramic coat it. I took 3 days to do paint correction, polishing, decontaminating and applying gtechniq CSL. For my general washing technique I use the two bucket method only. Haven’t taken it through any car washes. Still looking into adding a sealant such as P&S beadmaker but haven’t made the purchase yet. View attachment 49619
What ceramic coating did you use? I'm about to do this to my truck. The detail shop uses SB3 Alpha or Feynlab Self Heal Lite. He highly recommends the Feynlab Self Heal Lite, from he reviews I've read it sounds pretty amazing. I was also considering ppf on the front or at least the hood, but it adds up so quickly, and that ppf is not cheap. I'd be interested to hear your experience with your ceramic coating so far. I've never had it done before, and it's pretty expensive. It sounds worth it.

I used the IGL Kenzo but cant really review it as it's only been a month and we're into winter. I did hear that some coatings don't feel hard like glass so if that's what you want either Google or actually see a vehicle coated with the coating you're considering.

I think that if I lived in a nice climate I'd pay for the paint correction and then use one of the 6 month sprays like the new Turtle Wax Graphene Flex

If you have the painted front bumpers it really would benefit you to get the front bumper done in PPF. Even more so than the hood. I actually used gtechniq crystal serum light. It was a great consumer level coating and was very easy to apply. The shop that does my PPf uses feynlab and it sounds like a fantastic product. I highly doubt that it would disappoint you. Honestly if you did one of the two, get PPf first. That will actually stop rock chips. Ceramic coat is amazing, makes regular washes easier and stays cleaner. However you are correct it does all add up very fast!
