In honor of purchasing my truck a year ago, I created a replica of my truck. Pretty decent model can be bought on amazon here - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XTPGNRS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3m-.DbNH2MCPT.

I could only find red and white trucks, which is great for many members here, but I had to create my own. Bought white, disassembled it, sanded, primed, and painted it. Think it turned out pretty well! I’m absolutely incompetent at art...so I’m pleased. Couldn’t save the door/tailgate badging but otherwise it’s pretty solid.

I just bought that truck off Amazon the other day for my son. I need to paint the black stripe along the bottom to really make it a replica.

So, Porboy, it looks so good, which is the model and which is the real truck? :) When you add a modification to your real truck do you make the same mod to your model?

Lol I would if I actually stayed with the added mod. The good part is I also have that model in white so I can sand it down and paint it to match when I wrap it in 2020. :)

Ha! What a great reason for my first post - ordered two (home /work) - hopefully i don't ruin em when painting the bottom black.

Thanks for the link OP

Saw these a few months back and just ordered one. Stinks nothing matches my truck exactly...oh well!

Much cheaper than a model of my boat...haven't swallowed the $2,500 price tag to get a model of that made and probably never will!

I do have this...out of the "Press Kit" I bought last year...

How did you paint your bottom/black?... mask & spray? Or brush? Wheels on and masked? Or wheels removed?...

I got two white, but really need to two-tone them... also contemplating a way to add bed cover and maybe running boards. I'm not a modeler, so might not be able to pull it off - but I'm pretty sure I can get the painting done.

Yours looks great, hopefully I can do something decent.

I used painters tape and used a brush to paint it. I lightly sanded it before painting. I left the wheels on.
