looks great. I really wasn't digging having to stick down the aeroskin protector. I ordered the bugflector 2 yesterday and should have it this afternoon. We'll see if i like it or not
I hear that. I had two on my 4th gen. The first lasted 6 years and then the double sided tape started to let loose. So I replaced it with another one. The double sided tape is removed easily with a rubber eraser wheel gently. Then a little compound and buff and it’s like new. If needed, I’ll do the same thing with MY ‘22 as I like the look.

I like the look of the aeroskin too. Can you clean behind it though?
Thin sponge or just a hose blast ?

I installed the AVS bugflector 2 last night and love the look. Pretty low profile but still off the hood. Installation was easy. I will say that it's best to push the base of the new clips into the mounting holes and hold everything tight before jamming the center pin home.
Little side and front profile pics for ya.

I have a chrome version of this one sitting in my house that I would sell really cheap if someone is interested

I pulled the trigger on this. Enthuze Hood Guard - Smoked For 2019-2024 Ram 1500
I elected for smoked so it matches my window visors... What I really wanted for both was matte black. I'm thinking a few years down the road when I'm not too upset about having to replace them, I'll haul them all off and try painting them matte black and see how it turns out. If it sucks, I'll just get replacements. These things start to fade and look crappy after a few years of sun and rain.

I installed a Weathertech a couple of months ago and it seems to have dramatically reduced the number of bug, stone, and road debris hitting my windshield driving between Houston and Midland. I attached the little rub stops on the deflector instead of the hood but I don’t think it touches anyway. Very pleased with the no drill mounting and leaves enough gap to get a rag or sponge behind it to wash the hood.

I also put the weathertech one on mine. Didn't even put the bumpers on as it would likely break before it hits the hood.

I have the AVS Aero skin. More of a rock chip hood protector then bug shield. I went with the Matte Black to compliment the EGR in channel Matte Black wind visors

Looks great. Detailer i visited had just installed an aeroskin on a Denali and he changed my mind about the stickon installation, saying the paint can be easily brought back after removal. It was Dark Smoke and looked fantastic on that black truck.
Does the Matte Black more closely match the plastic air dam and other black plastic on the front of our Rams though? Dark smoke appears too glossy to me ?
Id get the color matched aeroskin if it came in Patriot Blue, but not available.

Weathertech, clips no screws. Didn’t install the bumpers.

The matte black does closely match the plastics on the truck. I agree with guy about the glossy dark smoke appearance. That’s why I went with the matte. You could always have the patriot blue matched at an auto body pain shop🤷🏼‍♂️. IMG_0402.jpeg IMG_0237.jpeg Here you can see a little better that the matte matches my EGR in channel visors, door pillar trim, side mirror caps.

Here's mine. Put the bumpers on the visor itself. Lots of space before it would ever hit the hood.
I'm curious if these typically survive the air dryer in auto carwashes?

all good looking setups. I've loved mine for the last couple weeks. I don't know if it happened before but now if I have rain on my hood i can be going 40+ mph and the rain just stays there. it's obvious that the deflector is keeping the wind off the hood. Pretty cool.

Interesting. Before I put the deflector on, the only thing that made the water droplets move is turning or stopping. IE inertia made the water move, not the wind. But with the deflector on, the water drops vibrate like there is a vortex of air just above them. Not enough to make them roll off, but shake like jello. I haven't put any wax on the truck yet - haven't had a fine enough day to do it... We'll see what happens when there is water sheeting wax on the hood.
