Just picked up my 2024 limited and bought the avs low profile smoke bug deflector. Didnt install it yet as im not sure i want to stick it directly to the paint.
Can anyone post some pics and reviews of their front bug deflector?

I went with the EGR. As a 35 year old (at the time) wasn't sure I wanted a bug deflector but pleased with the way the black looks with the Patriot Blue. 20200118_194501.jpg 20221014_144634.jpg Screenshot_20240101-195323_Amazon Shopping.jpg

Do they all stick to the paint? I want to perhaps get one, but I'm not sticking it to the paint. That's a no-no in my book (personal preference).

The EGR has a half dozen clips that the deflector attaches to. There are a handful of bumpers that you stick to the hood across top of the deflector to keep the plastic from contacting the paint while driving.

Could you attach the bumpers to the deflector instead of the hood? Though I suppose the bumpers hitting the hood would still, eventually, cause paint dmg. I suppose there are ways to gently remove tape from paint... I just cringe thinking about it, though. LOL

Yes you can. They're cone shaped and I thought of doing the same thing...after I had stuck to the hood...lol.

My patriot blue is the limited model with all the chrome up front. I saw a patriot blue limited once with the avs bug deflector but i cant tell from the pic if it stands off or is stick on like model i bought.

Im on the fence with these things. The low profile looks good but it cannot be possible to get a wash cloth/sponge behind it, which i think necessary.

Agree. Looks like avs hoodflector or bugflector still still stand off but are low profile(dont stick to hood) avs bugflector 2 is a little higher profile.

You're able to get a thin sponge between the EGR to wash.

I dont have a bug deflector. I think they look cool and go well with the window visors. I do have EGR in channel window visors. I'm currently debating on the weathertech stone and bug deflector or the egr.

I have the AVS Aero skin. More of a rock chip hood protector then bug shield. I went with the Matte Black to compliment the EGR in channel Matte Black wind visors IMG_0079.png IMG_0077.png IMG_0078.png

looks great. I really wasn't digging having to stick down the aeroskin protector. I ordered the bugflector 2 yesterday and should have it this afternoon. We'll see if i like it or not
