Just bought a 2019 Laramie. Once I got it home I noticed this black cord hanging out of the bottom of the dash on the drivers side. Attached a couple pics. Anybody have any idea what this is for?
Looks like the tech left it in the truck by mistake. Most of the RAM owners that find a “loose wire” under their dash, discover a hidden GPS tracking device installed by the dealer. Looks like yours was just a jumper connector.
thats probably part of a tracker..its going to the star connector, so was getting data from the can bus regarding vehicle speed, status, etc..probably plugged into some cheesy tracker box
