Black cord in driver footwell

Just bought a 2019 Laramie. Once I got it home I noticed this black cord hanging out of the bottom of the dash on the drivers side. Attached a couple pics. Anybody have any idea what this is for?

Best guess is it's a dealer test/reader cable for something. Kind of an odd place though, and only two wires. What's the part number on the cable?

Looks like the tech left it in the truck by mistake. Most of the RAM owners that find a “loose wire” under their dash, discover a hidden GPS tracking device installed by the dealer. Looks like yours was just a jumper connector.

thats probably part of a tracker..its going to the star connector, so was getting data from the can bus regarding vehicle speed, status, etc..probably plugged into some cheesy tracker box

Gotcha. I appreciate all the info. I’ll just leave it plugged in since it’s not connected to anything, tuck it away and forget about it.
