Question? Can one install the 1" motofab rear coil spacer and keep the stock shocks or is the bilstein necessary?
Yes I believe that's how most people do it. I got bilsteins for the front so just decided to get the rears also.

Installed my motofab spacers today. Really happy with the result.
Before spacers rear was 3/8” lower than the front (Bilsteins at 2.6”). After install the rear is 1/2” higher than the front.

the install was straight forward except the instructions didn’t mention needing to disconnect the rear traction bars. Needed a pneumatic impact wrench for that one. Not a huge deal. Added an hour.

I already towed the boat with it and it was a great experience. Real nice. Highly recommend!

Bilsteins installed. Front at clip 5(org max) stated as 2”, got just under that when said and done. 5100s in the back with motofab 1” coil spacer. Back on my stock tires for now. Gained just under 2” in front and 1” in the back. Have about 1 1/2” of rake now which looks great to me. Should be good when I tow. Install was easy enough.

Looks great! What are your measurements from ground to fender? I have 275/65 20" Ridge grapplers going on any day now. I will be going with 285/65 at least next time.

Nice job, looks good! Thanks again for letting me pick your brain about the motofab spacers. I’m really happy with them.

Front is 40 3/4”
Rear is 41 1/4”
Measured ground to bottom of fenders using the center of wheels as a guide reference point.

Any time you're working with control arms it is a good idea to loosen the bolts for free movement, as you found out. I also removed the sway bar and loosened the track bar bolts. Spacers went in easy after that.

P.S. torque the control arm and track bar bolts with the truck on the ground.

Well hell. I didn't do that last part. I torqued the track bars while it was in the air. Should I loosen and re-torque? Do you have an idea what the torque spec is for those?

For what it's worth, I've got about 500 - 600 miles on it under heavy load (travel trailer, boat and utility trailer) since the install.

Can use stock shocks up to 1.5 in spacer. That is what I did. I had quite a bit of sag from topper and tools.
