Was it at 3/5 on the old 20's? How did it end up towing? How do you like the bag setup? Are you running an air system?
Yes, same height settings with the 20s and 24s, just bigger dia tire with the 24s.
It tows great, beauty of being able to choose ride height. I usually have 30-32psi on the pass side and 40-42psi on the driver side depending on the amount of gas in the tank. I've had it as high as 75# when the pulling the boat and bed loaded. I just have manual fill Schrader valves right now, I use a small 12v compressor in the aux port to add air if needed. Only takes 30-60 seconds to add 20-30psi.
The only issues I have is I think it really needs an adjustable shock in the rear. It feels like the shock can't absorb all the rebounding the rear axle does with the air bag. The other issue that I didn't think about is the fluctuations in bag air pressure based on outside temp. Just like your tires in the winter, the bag pressure goes down, which in turns makes the truck sit lower. Could be an issue in the winter. The best thing would be to get the auto level system Timber Grove sells for the rear, problem solved.
This truck gets turned in this coming May. Not sure if I'll get another Ram or try out a 6.2 Silverado. Because I don't know if I'm getting another Ram, I may put the maxtrac coils back on for winter, no point in buying self level system yet.
