Beer - what are you drinking / brewing thread

Not sure I've had any others...
This one is decent, but seems like it is missing something. The flavor seemed muted for how dark it was. Could be it was too cold, might try it again at room temp.
My experience with Scotch ales has been, if it isn't a memorable drink move on. A good one leaves me wanting another ;)

Which would you recommend?

anything by founders, check this out
Agree, Founder's is one of the better common store-bought ales. I had a different brand a couple of months ago that was very good, I can't seem to recall the maker at this moment but as soon as I do I will post it

Love the Highboy beers.. IPAs are the best..

Not what I'm drinking now, but just pulled the trigger on a Squarekeg, so look forward to getting it filled at local breweries.

I saw an ad for these on facebook ha. So how does that work with beer? Can you take it to your local brewery and have it filled like a growler?

Yes, or get a growler and dump it in. It holds more than a growler. Home brew guys like to use them as well.

Gotcha. I've been homebrewing since college, might make a nice addition. Back then I just reused sturdy labatt's bottles. It got so much easier going to 5 gallon soda kegs and co2 with an old beer fridge ha. I don't get to make nearly as often as I used to with kids running around, but I should get back into it more. Much easier on the waistline though without sampling new brews all the time ha.

Got my Squareone from SquareKeg in today. Just need to get it filled now. Their spring sale right now give you an insulated carry bag, and the party tap along with the regular tap, and 6 CO2 cartridges all for one price. The flag in side was supposed to be the BTS flag, but it seems they just used a generic tattered flag design. I didn't pay for it, so can't complain too much I guess. Military gets a free "etching" which is what the flag is, even though it's screen printed on it. Huge Heffner from Nebraska Brewing Company. 7.1% abv wheat beer. Using my SquareKeg for first time. Still trying to figure out the pressure setting to get good pours

Just a simple Belle’s Two-Hearted. Just got back from a bike ride on a beautiful day off, and now I can sit on the back porch and enjoy a delicious refreshment.
