I’m in Cary, NC, and there’s a place called Hoppy House, which is a self-pour taproom. Very dangerous. I started with the one I thought MOST appropriate!

Shoulda known better than to tap into this thread right now... Gave up alcohol for Lent... Now I'm thinking about about the two mini fridges full of home brews sitting in my basement :(:ROFLMAO:

A benevolent, just, and caring God would not expect a man to give up alcohol for one day, let alone for 40......
A wife, on the other hand, is usually just sadistic enough to make that request.....

LOL true. In fact, no one asked me to. My wife gave up bread....I'll say again, bread. That's a tough one! I figured I could show her support by dropping drinking. Been much harder than I expected, mainly bc the only other thing I tend to drink is water. Plus, those mini fridges and that liquor cabinet keep staring at me ;)

Sundays are feast days (plus the other feast days during Lent-like St. Patrick’s Day) so it would be allowed to drink on Sundays. I’m just saying.

Yes they are, and we have taken advantage of it a couple of times at our favorite local Mexican joint. Amazing how quickly one can consume jumbo margaritas after having waited all week. I've made it a point to only drink there so I'm not as tempted to tap into what I have at home..... Well, I may have gone home those evenings and popped a beer or two.... Shame to let those go to waste, especially on a Cheat Day...

I like a good Scotch ale. How does this one compare to others you have had?
Not sure I've had any others...
This one is decent, but seems like it is missing something. The flavor seemed muted for how dark it was. Could be it was too cold, might try it again at room temp.
