Bedrug products NOT being designed for 2019 with Rambox?

I was excited by @justintx ’s info quoted below about BedRug product availability, but I received a dismaying email from BedRug customer service stating they are not designing 2019 Rambox specific kits. Have any 2019 Rambox owners seen indications that BedRugs will be made to fit our trucks?

“I am sorry but we are not making anything to fit the 2019 Ram with Rambox.

Just ordered...
The Bedrug XLT Bed Mat is available NOW!!!
No one has it on their website yet, but I talked to Bedrug this morning to verify.
I just ordered mine from Morrie at Tonneaufactoryoutlet.com for $179.00 shipped no tax.
Part # XLTBMT19CCS. Give Morrie a call, he's a great guy to talk with and he appreciates his customers. Let him know you found out about him on the forum!

FYI Morrie insists there is a product with a new model number custom made for 2019 Ram Rambox trucks... I’m pinging BedRug about it.

Update: Morrie gave me the same model number as justintx provided, which leads me to believe this model number is for non-Rambox models despite what he said. Hey @justintx have you received your BedRug yet, and if so got pics? I speculate I could slice off the wheel well sides and “make it work” which I’m ok doing, but I would like to know what to expect when it shows up!

Haven't received it yet, but will post pics when I do.

Morrie gave me the non-Rambox model #. Despite his confidence that it fits with Rambox, based on my email trail with BedRug customer service reps it appears BedRug does not have a New 2019 Ram w/RamBox solution and they don’t sound like they are working on it.

This might be proven wrong over time, but I’m moving forward under the assumption it is true. @justintx I will be looking forward to seeing what you get - hope you have time to snap some pics and take some measurements to share. Then we can compare the size and shape of it with a Rambox bed/tailgate.

I am interested in figuring out if the sides of the non-Rambox kit could simply be trimmed along a straight line to fit inside the straight sides of the Rambox bed. I mean, as long as you aren’t worried about the vertical sides it’s just a rectangle right? Sounds easy, what could possibly go wrong?!

Does anyone know, or can anyone find out, if any dimensions changed regarding the 4th vs 5th Rambox bed and tailgate? I’m wondering what fitment problems (if any) would exist if I tried a 4th gen Rambox BedRug... BRT09BXK.

Does Bedrug have any competitors? What are you guys planning to do if Bedrug does not make a rambox compatible product?

As my Ramboxes get closer (along with the rest of the truck of course - on a train in OH moving East!) I’m getting accessories lined up. Tonneau (Bak Revolver X4) is ordered, but I’m frustrated at the lack of Bedrug-19Rambox compatibility... so I have a request to those who have or are about to have your Rambox trucks:

Can you please measure your 19 Rambox bed floor and post dimensions/photos? To stay on topic, the info and pics could go over to this thread: https://5thgenrams.com/community/th...designed-for-2019-with-rambox.2244/post-32831

I want to compare the ‘19 floor dimensions/layout to the ‘18 and older Rambox beds. If the floor of the 19 Rambox bed has the exact same dimensions and layout (10 ridges) as the “classic” / ‘18, then the floor only Bedrug panel (BMT09BXS) should fit.

I heard that the ‘19 bed walls and tailgate were somewhat taller now so those panels probably won’t work, but the floor would be a start. My knees would thank you.

I ran down to the dealer a few mins ago and snapped you some pictures from the 1st truck I ordered.

Nice one @1Raider now I can compare the width and height to an ‘18 on my lot. I guess the length and shape of the bed exit area would be similar. Thanks!

They had the truck locked and couldn't lower the tailgate, sorry bout that..

@1Raider those pics helped a lot, thanks. Here are my estimated measurements so far. The ‘18 model I measured was a 6’4” bed so we’ll still need to compare lengths for the 5’7” beds.

2018

2019

Notes

Width @ bedrail

53 1/14”

53 1/4”

Width at floor

50 1/2”

50”

Measured halfway up curve

Length at floor

67”

67”

(2019 Length at rail = 65 1/2”)

(2018 6’4” bed = 75 1/2”)

Height to track top

~20”

~20 1/2”

(2019 Height of tailgate 21 3/4”)

Update: fixed width.

I know it's not the BedRug itself, but Nikki there confirmed they are planning to make the BedTred impact mat for '19 RamBox trucks, but didn't have an ETA as of 9/4.

Hopefully true; I shared our site stats on the percentage of Rambox owners and Valeria told me IF they decided to support Rambox it wouldn’t be until 2019 sometime. Maybe there’s our ETA, mid-late ‘19?

With the similarities in dimensions (just a small height difference as far as we can tell so far, pending more measurements of course) I’m really wondering how well/poorly an ‘18 model would fit. Good enough?

If they're within just .5" or so, I'd readily go for an '18 model and live with the slight imperfection. It also helps that I'm just looking for a mat, not the full bed cover, so if the bed floor dimensions are almost identical, I can just go for the '18 Husky mat or the 18' BedTred.

FYI, here was the email exchange on 9/4:

habu: "Good evening, I wanted to see if the Bedtred impact bed mat will be available for the 2019 Ram 1500 5'7" bed with RamBox in the future. Thanks!"
Nikki Alred: "Yes, but we do not have an ETA at this time"

At least that's not a flat out no...

BTW, KZ, nice!

I took the plunge and ordered a full coverage Classic Bedrug in the hopes that only minor mods will be required. I’ll let y’all know how my pioneering goes. It’ll hopefully play well with my Truxedo Sentry CT...
