Hey everybody.
I installed the AWE exhaust on my Tungsten HO about 2 months ago. I am not sure if I was just used to how quite the stock exhaust was, but holy crap this thing is loud. On cold starts it is crazy and calms down to tolerable sound level. After riding around with it for about a month i started looking into toning it down a few notches due to the loud raspy sound during acceleration between 2000-3000 rpms. What I ended up adding was some straight through spiral notched resonators after the AWE cans. This did exactly what I was hoping for. I can still hear the exhaust sound but dialed back some. I do have to say that the WOT runs give a great sounding burble at gear changes, before and after adding the resonators.
If you are thinking about adding the AWE exhaust, just know it is LOUD due to being a straight pipe design. If you had a Hemi Ram before, like I did, the sound takes some getting used too. I do not regret this purchase but wish AWE had an option for resonators.
