AT tire with low road noise.

I had the BFG KO2’s on my last truck, they looked great, but I got tired of the Rough ride even I had them aired down to 45. Also, they did not do well in the rain, especially when I towed my camper. I was seriously looking at Yokohama Geolandar G015's, wish I had gone with them
they were too wide.
I just traded today for a 24 Laramie, with the pirelli scorpion verde. So far they ride really nice, plus they are XL loaded for towing.

You will love the Pirelli's for hauling *** and cornering but I burned through mine in 35k miles like butter.
It's the same tire Ram puts on the Hellcat etc. Nice racing tire but soft.

I have had Geolandar G015's for about 26k miles and am still in love with them. Still have probably 70% life in them, so I should easily get the 50k's they advertise.

I had Nitto Recon Grappler 275/55/20 LT E rated for a couple years and they are pretty loud and were worthless on wet pavement. They also degraded ride quality. I had them inflated at 51 PSI as recommended by Nitto.
I just got highway tires now and cannot believe how quiet they are and ride quality is back to SUV level.

I concur. Had the BFG KO2's on two of my vehicles. Noisy and rough. Not sure why, but for some reason they are especially noisy on smooth blacktop highways 🤷‍♂️. They look great, but definitely ruin the smooth comfortable ride! Never again.

Vote for Cooper AT3 LTs or XLTs here. Personally running the LTs
I had narrowed down between these and Falkens, but the Falkens are made in China and that is a big no no for me (supposedly they are made in Japan but the country code on the set I saw was China) So I am going with Coopers, the question is, what is the difference between LT and XLT??

XLT has bigger shoulder lugs. That's basically it. I went with the XLT, and the lugs aren't as aggressive as a KO2 or Duratrac, but they're pretty solid.

How are they in Snow and Ice? (Tire rack says they are just ok but I have read otherwise)

XLTs also weigh quite a bit more with the extra lugs etc. LTs and XLTs are excellent in snow/ice/rain. If you’re in the mud or driving in snowy fields often go XLT but the LTs do fine for once in a while and are a tad better for on road snow/ice conditions.

I drove them in the snow that is in my profile pic and had no issues, but they were practically brand new. 4Hi at 40+ with several inches of snow on the road no problems. Ice is ice, but they handled like I would expect an AT tire. I've been really happy with them in the almost 8k miles I've had them, so if they keep it up this will be my tire of choice going forward.

Any tire would ride like poo at 51 psi.

Had the new Yokohama Geolandar G015's mounted on my Fuel Siege wheels yesterday... Went with 285/50R22.
No rubs. Looks great. Drives fantastic!
Loved the handling of the Pirelli Scorpions on the OEM wheels but chewed through those racing tires in 30,000 miles. No warranty.
My old Toyos ATIII 35x12.5R22's were too big AND hydroplaned terribly in the Florida rains.
So therefore went with the Yokos.
I really liked the Continental Terrain Contacts for quiet, comfort and wet handling, but the biggest tire size was 285/45R22.
So, after much research and discussion here is the new look.
Thank you to all that helped and whoever suggested Tiresize.com. It was a lifesaver and killer app.
Your truck looks great. I’m looking at the same geolandar tires in the 50 height instead of 45. You mentioned no rubbing but I was wondering if your truck was stock height? Any big issues with the speedometer?

I installed a full set of 275/60-20 Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 tires yesterday, $1270 out the door.
So far, so good. We will see if or how much I prefer them over the Falken Rubitrek's...

If I didn't have an AT tire I would be running Michelin Defenders. Best road tires I've ever had. Whatever version of Michelin M/S tire is needed for my wife's car (she's had a few) are what I always go with as soon as tires need to be replaced.

I bought a new truck and had gone with the Discoverer XLT from Cooper in the other truck. No longer made by Cooper I bought the new Cooper Stronghold, they are monsters in the snow!!! Love them

Here TireRacks's latest AT tire test.
Much thanks for the TR Review YT video!

Unfortunately, I am NO further ahead..as it was basically ckear as mud in giving me a clear winner (mostly because I want a perfect tire for everything..and there is no such thing!)

Truth be told, the OEM Bridgestone Dueler H/L really is good (IMO) for my daily driving (quiet, smooth, controlled, decent mpg, decent in light rain & snow)..but I want a 275/60R20 (would love bigger & badder) to get a bit taller tire, but with similar overall weight.

What I'm trying to talk myself into pulling the trigger on is....

Fuel Variant 20x9-01mm (Matte Gunmetal) wheels with Firestone Destination AT2 275/60R20 tires which would be 33" tall (versus 31.9") for an extra 0.55" sidewall (to maybe get a little extra cushion & comfort). This combo is exactly the same overall weight as OEM (actually a half pound lighter!).

My truck is almost all on-road..so maybe the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 is the smartest thing..and I imagine a step up from the OEM Bridgestone Duelers..but the Firestone Destination AT2 looks like what a truck should have.

The 275/60 Michelin package would be 3lbs lighter than OEM.
I could even move up to a 275/65 Michelin to be 34.1" tall and it would only be 0.5-1.0lb heavier than OEM..but a taller Michelin isn't gonna look any tougher than OEM.🤔

Thoughts??
