APRIL 2021 Factory Order members

😂

I hope you enjoy the Delmonico Red as much as I do. It seems to change color by the minute
I am really looking forward to it...I fell in love with the color when I saw it on a truck in the dealer's lot. If the truck they had in their lot had a 6'4" box and light colored interior I would have written a check right there. I only later learned that I was saving a butt load of money by ordering. First time ordering a vehicle from the factory. The wait is agonizing but will be well worth it in the long haul.

Mine too was a first time ordering & I also got the 6’4” bed but because I wanted the ecodiesel- to stay in my $50K budget I got a Big Horn with the exact options I wanted. Love the bench seat with black & tan interior. Have yet to see my combo anywhere else.

While there are some big differences, our trucks will certainly look like siblings. I also got the "chrome appearance group" and chrome running boards. My old truck had AMP power steps but I liked the look of the chrome down both sides. I like the bench seat too and have not seen a truck with my exact look anywhere around here in western Oregon.

The correlation is not a strong one but there does seem to be a pattern of trim selection and age. Younger guys (<50 or so) seem to lean toward the black and grey models that look bad @ss and the older guys (60+) like me seem to go for less bad @ss selections. Not to leave the women out but I just don't have a feel for what their preferences might be in a truck. My wife always leaned toward a luxury sedan rather than a truck but she is not an outdoors girl.

I think you are correct - as a 60 something year old & a bit of a car guy I think we have witnessed our share of fads. Don’t get me wrong -I absolutely love the whole black out look with flat paint but I keep my rigs a long time and don’t want something in 2030 that shouts 2020.

I wanted Granite Crystal Night Edition, spousal unit wanted Flame Red Night Edition, we settled on Bright White Night Edition. Not sure what that says about our ages or negotiating abilities, much less how well we compromise. :ROFLMAO:

This woman opted for Delmonico Red Night Edition 😃

You know, I'm actually really curious how many women are on this forum with usernames that don't give anything away. I think the assumption is that there are very few, but I'm guessing there are more than people might guess.
I wondered the same but was afraid to bring it up as I’m sure someone would identify me as “unwoke” PS - I identify as he or him

I didn’t receive the Ram as a gift from my wife, but I did receive permission which is just as important (it was her turn to get a new vehicle, since I had a 2019 and she has a 2014, which she says she’ll be happy with for another 4-5 years. She’s truly my better half).

She didn’t cut me off, but who needs sex now that I’ve got my truck? Only kidding!
Haha. It’s a good thing my wife doesn’t read this forum!

So - what I’m hearing is some of you guys received your Rams as presents from your wife…..I did not. It was a trade. I got a Ram and she apparently never has to have sex with me again. Truck was ordered on 3/31……….yea - it’s been that long. But on the other hand - love the truck and still sorting out who actually won the trade.
But you haven’t taken delivery of the truck yet so she should still be delivering…

Got my window sticker this morning. Even better, I plugged the VIN into the Ram towing/payload guide and got 9717#/1317#. I was sweating the payload number given our travel trailer towing plans. Originally, I was hoping to be over 1400# but after doing more research on options, I reset my expectations and was hoping to be above 1300#. Whew.

That’s good to know m!
Where were you able to plug the vin in to check that? On Ramtrucks.com?

Only 17 pounds to spare; better have a light breakfast on tow day
