Anyone switched to aftermarket wheels using the stock 33" Duratracs?

I'm thinking about doing a level and going with a set of 18" Method wheels or similar style, however I rather like my stock 33" Duratracs. I was considering just getting the wheels and then simply switching over to my stock tires (but black side out).

Has anyone here done that switch? I am worried that they may look too small with a level, even if the aftermarket offset pushes them out wider. If you did it, was it worth the effort to keep the stock 33" tires, how does it look?

Looks good man, thanks for posting. I think I'll be doing the same, I'll switch to 34" tires after my 33" wears out, but considering how little I drive, that may take a while.

Kept the stockers on mine as well and went with Fuel 18" x 9" wheels.

It was worth the effort to not spend $1900 on 35's with new 33's sitting on there at the time. I'm almost at 20k miles, so if these manage to last me another 20-25k I'll be ready for 35's by then. They look a tad small, but only you'll notice.

None, at any angle or at full lock while going over bumps.

those wheels are looking good. can you tell us how far they stick out from flare?
i am installing bushwacker pocket flares and i thin i need more offset..

I had rubbing on the Mopar Mudflaps with 1.5” spacers installed. Little 5 min mod on the flaps and no more rubbing.

Absolutely, going from say 33" to 34" would result in about 1 mph lower indicated that actual. The error increases even more the larger the tire diameter.

Most people just live with it, especially since the Odometer becomes slightly inaccurate in their favor. However it can be fixed, using an aftermarket tuner.
