Any luck adding ventilated seats to rebel 12 with leather?

I'd really like to see if this is possible or if anyone else has looked into or done this

I added heated and cooled leather seats to my 2010 ram. They were basically plus and play, but after adding the switches, the indicator leds did not function. 2 dealers tried to get them to function but could not. One dealer called the ram tech assist and chrysler made them stop working on it, stating that adding the seats violated some type of build restriction. In short, I would worry about warranty issues if you tried to add the ventilated seats.

So, looking at parts diagrams, it appears that 4 parts are needed per seat, then a reprogram to show up on the controls tab of uconnect.

BLOWER. SEAT BACK. - 68267093AC - $84.94
VENTILATION BAG. Seat Back - 68267089AB - $31.40
BLOWER. SEAT CUSHION. - 68267092AD - $86.23
VENTILATION BAG. Seat Cushion. - 68267081AC - $41.81

$244.38 plus reprogram. (per seat)

Looks like the build codes are
CAJ VENTILATED FRONT SEATS
X8Z SEAT PARTS MODULE

An alternative to retrofitting OEM parts is to go to a Katskinz installer. They have heated and cooled add-ons for leather upholstery installs. If you're unhappy with your leather at all (color, stitching, quality) then aftermarket becomes a better solution for getting ventilated seats. UConnect integration is highly unlikely, but might be worth a quick research to compare against OEM

Do you know if anyone has tried this?

I wonder if theese seat vent fans would be able to move air through the cloth sea fabric of a Bighorn?

I just swapped covers over. A little time consuming but very straight forward. Alfaobd and boom, functional with zero wiring changes.

The harness was already there or did you make it and what is the module?

It's not entirely clear in this thread, has anyone purchased blowers and bags and added them to their existing seats? I'd like to add Ventilated seats to my 21 rebel but I can't find firm confirmation that you can buy the bags and blowers and insert them into existing seats. Is there a way to hook them up already in the seats? Will a dealer actually update the screen to be able to turn them on?

With enough time and money anything is possible. But it is not a simple swap. Seat frames, custom harness, seat foam, blowers and a whole slew of other parts are needed. personally i took a set of seats out of a Laramie. That is the easiest solution. I left the Laramie covers on but I saw someone post about swapping the rebels on and it working fine. As far as getting a dealer to turn the option on for you. Good luck. I turned the option on using alfa. A added benefit of using Laramie seats is adding two can communication wires to the memory module and you get memory seats.
