Do you know if anyone has tried this? So, looking at parts diagrams, it appears that 4 parts are needed per seat, then a reprogram to show up on the controls tab of uconnect.

Looks like the build codes are
CAJ VENTILATED FRONT SEATS
X8Z SEAT PARTS MODULE
Yep. Completed. Easiest option is a full seat swap and moving your covers over.
Wondering the same. I was thinking about doing this and getting kayaking leather perforated seatsI wonder if theese seat vent fans would be able to move air through the cloth sea fabric of a Bighorn?
With enough time and money anything is possible. But it is not a simple swap. Seat frames, custom harness, seat foam, blowers and a whole slew of other parts are needed. personally i took a set of seats out of a Laramie. That is the easiest solution. I left the Laramie covers on but I saw someone post about swapping the rebels on and it working fine. As far as getting a dealer to turn the option on for you. Good luck. I turned the option on using alfa. A added benefit of using Laramie seats is adding two can communication wires to the memory module and you get memory seats. It's not entirely clear in this thread, has anyone purchased blowers and bags and added them to their existing seats? I'd like to add Ventilated seats to my 21 rebel but I can't find firm confirmation that you can buy the bags and blowers and insert them into existing seats. Is there a way to hook them up already in the seats? Will a dealer actually update the screen to be able to turn them on?
extremely unlikely. the leather covers are perforated for the airflow.I wonder if theese seat vent fans would be able to move air through the cloth sea fabric of a Bighorn?
I just did by back seat. It was quite a job. The rear seat I had swapped into my 22 BH was heated and had perforated leather--not vented. The vent bags are adhesive on one side, and they stick to the bottom/back of the seat foams. The blower motors required 3 sheet metal screws to attach. (I think the front seat blowers mount with plastic Christmas trees). I had to drill holes through the seat foams. One foam required 7 holes and the other 10. I used a 3/4 hole saw. Had to cut all the hog rings to remove the leather from the foam, and then re hog ring it back on. Needed a different control module (with vent function) and new seat harnesses (with wires for vent motors). In addition to all that, my truck had no wires for the rear seats, so I had to build 2 harnesses with about 20 wires. Of course had to add the heat/vent switches in the rear of the center console, swap the console harness, and add some wires from the console to the front of the truck. Then flash with Alfa. It's not entirely clear in this thread, has anyone purchased blowers and bags and added them to their existing seats?
