Another recall? This one for inadequate defrost.

There's only one HVAC unit available for the 12" screen trucks, so the "base" HVAC system is "THE" HVAC system that comes in Laramie and higher trimmed trucks.

I think it implies that the base level HVAC system was installed in trucks with a 12" screen (that should have been matched with something higher than base level), meaning there is no way for the 12" screen to control the HVAC system because they're not designed to work together.

Edit: It probably only mentions defrosting/defogging because that's all that really violates the FMVSS rule. There's probably not a rule for how well the heat and AC work, only how well you can see out of the windshield.

What build date do you have? I have a 12" screen but no recall or TSB. My build date is 01/22.

I guess anyone with this recall.
No one has been recalled. Announcement will be March 15. 15 trucks out of a 200k+ trucks....if yours is one of them, I will play your lottery numbers. :p

I'll have to check my build date later...and update my signature. Boss (the wife) wants to watch a movie. Can't stop laughing at the "Heavy breather" comment. Good one!

If this is the case. Why are they not addressing the air out of the defrost in all modes concern? It blocks the windshield and you cant see, ijs..
