AlfaOBD

I successfully installed parking sensors on my 2020 Laramie.
Under the parktronics section Alfaobd says my Snow plow Switch #3 is on.
I do not have a snow plow nor a switch for one. Any idea why this is on and how to turn it off?View attachment 206772
Try this again and see if we can keep the admins from jumping in.

Are you having any issues with the truck you think are related to this setting? If not, then just leave it alone. It's very easy to screw up your BCM making changes you don't fully understand, or know what they do. It's possible to make the truck undrivable.

No, I'm not having any issues. I made the mistake of not backing things up before making changes for the parking sensors to work, so my concern was really directed at that action. I just thought it was odd that Snow Plow switch #3 was "on" and did not exist. My thought was that I caused it by adding a module or a pinned wire.

It's possible, but hard to say. It's not something I think you would have accidentally changed unless it's right next to another setting in the menu that you did change for parking sensors.

maybe you could contact @Jimmy07

Is there anyone here with a 2024 Laramie GT who has the off-road camera guidelines working? I need a backup file to compare it with a GT Rebel and get the guidelines working.

Hi guys,
I recently bought AlfaOBD and started using it on my 2020 Ram 1500 DT. I don’t have a Security Gateway (SGW) bypass cable.
My truck has the SGW, but I do have a Tazer DT installed. If I leave the Tazer plugged in, and then plug my OBD2 adapter into the port, AlfaOBD seems to work correctly (it connects and lets me do what I need).
So my question is:
Is it possible that leaving the Tazer DTi installed effectively performs the SGW bypass function?
And if yes — is this considered acceptable or better is to order bypass cable?

Any input from people who have tried this setup would be appreciated. Thanks!

The Tazer is fine - it does the job that a cable would do (that's how I do it when connecting with AlfaOBD).
