Is this the same across the board for trim levels and tech groups?

I really don’t want to screw something up as I am not a tech wiz

Yes, it should be. Some trims don't have amber lighting to use that way. The TRX is the only one that allows for the upper and bottom to be amber.

I have a 2023 1500 and want to update my tire size(275/60/20)and possibly perform a few other things. Can someone post link to what I need to buy? Will an Android table be sufficient for making changes? I have iPhone. Thanks.

You’ll need AlphaOBD through Google Play. Works on Android Tablet or phone. Next you’ll need a security bypass cable. Many out there. Lastly, you’ll need an OBD Reader. Only certain OBD Readers are acceptable with AlphaOBD. Here’s some links to what I bought and use.
I got the Koadtech Security Bypass Cable:
I got the OBDLink MX+ Reader:

Jscan works on Apple and does the same thing. It will also program fobs now.

Get a vgate MC+ for half the price of the MX+.

Have they confirmed it will program. Fobs on the 5th gen? Last post I saw said it would pull the pin code, but the option to program the fob was grayed out still

JScan doesn’t do near as much as AlphaOBD. It’s primarily for Jeeps.
The OBDLink MX+ reader works with both IOS on JScan and Android on AlphaOBD. Best of both worlds.
Are there cheaper versions of doing changes? Yes….but limited in options.
It all depends on what you want to do.

JScan can now do everything alfaobd can on all ram trucks…
Actually, a little more.

I think you have to login as Jeep gladiator as of right now and it will work.

Jscan does everything alfaOBD does (and more with FOB programming). I have both.

The MC+ does everything the MX+ does. I also have both.

My only gripe with the MC+ is actually related to Android in the way they mangle BLE.

Can the OBD MX+ be used on multiple vehicles? I see it will do forscan too. I have a Ford I need something for as well.

Says it will work with Apple?

The bypass cable posted above is out of stock, will look for another one.

Thanks all.

Works with Apple, Android systems and virtually any vehicle.
I believe there’s a member here who makes the bypass cables as well.
