Alexa to start truck?

How do I get it to actually start the truck and not just open the ram skill?

Its pretty easy, I will try tomorrow to write something to step you through it.
Just don't have time right now.
I got mine working again, too much experimenting

When setting up the routine, after clicking on "add action" don't click on skill, click on "customized" and type in "ask Ram to start my truck".

Makes sense. Do you have to add the “Ask ram….with voice code XXXX”

I didn't but I also set it up originally to not use the voice code. If you get what I mean.

You can disable the voice code in the Ram app - go to Settings menu->Account->Application Settings->Virtual Assistant. You can disable the voice code there.

When you say the ram app…Uconnect? Or in Alexa?

It's a separate app on your phone. Mine's an Apple, so Apple app store, search for Ram app. I assume there's an equivalent app for Android users. Once you have the app on your phone, you have to link your Alexa account to your Ram account so they can talk to each other.
