Aero Mode

Turns out mine operates this way. It doesn't matter if I lower the truck with the key fob with the truck off or lower it while running from inside the cabin. Either way, as soon as I hit 16 mph, the truck raises to Normal height. But I know that I've seen the behavior that @Slim is describing...maybe it was on one of my test drives.

Keep the questions coming...I love excuses to go out and drive my truck around :)

I believe mine goes directly to Normal from Entry/Exit when I start moving forward. I'll see if it actually happens at 16 mph. But the owners manual states it changes over 15mph so I guess that's when it happens.

Yes it should happen around 15-16 mph. It is the same when you try to lower it before reaching that speed. It won't let you until your at that point.

Mine will adjust to aero mode at highway speed and automatically goes back to normal when I slow down. I dig it!

Same here goes into aero mode and stays there until manually set. sometimes stays in aero mode after slow down and has to be manually selected to normal

So I decided to try and see what mine does. I was in normal and dropped to entry/exit when I parked the other day and didn't touch it when I drove off. It returned to normal ride height on it own.

If I set it manually to normal it adjusts itself like it it supposed to according to speed. If I set it to entry mode it never gets higher then aero mode. I will have it looked at. For now I just keep it at normal mode. I like the entry mode for when my kids get out of the truck.

This is what i'm experiencing myself. Slim did you take yours in to get looked at?

Yes I did. Dealer said no fault codes showing. They are sending an email to their tech line. I will check back on Friday. I am thinking this won't be a quick fix. In the meantime when I set it to Normal mode (manually) it does what it is supposed to do from that point. I just want it to work properly from the Entry mode as well since I use it for the kids.

Mine is doing the same thing that Slim and others are describing. Let us know if you find something out. I'll check with my service department as well.

I am waiting to hear back. My service department is in contact with the Field Tech Service advisor. I'll let you know when I hear something

Yes, I have seen this behavior, and it appears that it is not limited to trucks with the Off Road Group (a preliminary theory of mine). I've gotten to where I manually raise from Entry/Exit to Normal because I don't want to be brake-checked when I back out of a sloping driveway, so I don't often encounter this issue. Note that the automatic Aero behavior (i.e. lowering from NRH to Aero at highway speeds and then returning to NRH when slowing down) always works as expected.
...is there any way to keep my 2019 Limited in OR1 or OPR2

You need to manually put it in normal mode and let it do its thing. Going to aero mode manually will stop there from entry/exit. Confirmed this in my wifes limited.

What @Gondul said (above). I know it's been stated on this forum before, but I haven't tried this and don't know which fuse to pull either. If the aftermarket comes out with a programmer that enables an override of these settings, that would be interesting...

Yep... not so much for the OR settings (though it would be handy from time to time) but for the Aero setting to match the non-ORG trucks...

In another thread a user figured out that using the remote start function seems to prevent the truck from automatically changing the ride height. I've confirmed this behavior on my own truck. A normal start using the push button changes height automagically.
