Adding Heated Seats

After I installed the new clock spring (Steering Wheel Module) in order to make heated steering wheel work, my left turn signal stopped cancelling. Found out there was a batch of faulty parts, with the AA design level. There's a recall of some 23 and 24 trucks with the bad parts. I won't qualify for the recall since my truck is not supposed to have heated steering wheel. I've contacted the parts supplier I bought the part from and asked them if they'll provide me with the part that supersedes the one I have--since it's a know part issue. Not optimistic I'll get a good part from them.

Not directly related to this thread; but the heated/vented passenger seat I had swapped into my truck was "tweeked" from the wreck. No damage to the exterior of the seat; but it leaned about 2" toward the center of the truck. I had tried pry bars and a come-along to straighten it. I helped it a little but it looked weird. I found another seat frame and swapped it. Have a straight seat now!

So seeing what you did in making this harness kind of intimidated me a little. So I went online and purchased a main body cabin harness from a same year truck that had heated seats. Just have to get around on removing seats and carpet to replace the harness.
I already upgraded the seats with the elements and upgraded harnesses when i converted from cloth to leather.
I want to thank you on your updates as it is very informative.

When I bought my seats, I told the junk yard that I'd buy them only if I could get the wiring harnesses. I didn't know the configuration of the harnesses; but found out that there's a Cabin and an IP harness. I got both harnesses from the donor truck. After I paid them $200 to pull the harnesses, remove all the wires I needed and build new harnesses (and buy miles of Tesa tape); I think your plan is much easier and efficient. I could have swapped the junk yard harnesses into my truck. But my thinking was--I have a perfectly functioning new truck and what can be messed up with a junk yard harness. Looking back, I think transplanting the junk yard harness would not have caused any problems. I'm pretty sure you're going to need to add some wires to your IP harness or replace it too.

I'm searching for a better diagram; but I'm fairly sure I had run 2 (maybe all 3) of the PK/YE Fused Ignition (Pins 1,3,5 of XY420A (PASS on the screenshot) across the IP to ASSEMBLY-POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER-INTERIOR C3 (Pins 17, 6, 27 and circuits F921, F924, FF922 , respectively) . These 3 PK/YE run from XY420A through a connector behind the Passenger kick panel, then across the IP to ASSY-POWER....C3. Maybe someone with more information can tell you the function of these 3 circuits. These wires would have been in the IP harness if my truck had these options.

So these wire are only needed of adding the center stack with physical buttons? Wouldnt it work just with the on screen display buttons without the harness?
