If anyone is interested, I just finished adding a factory sub to my 2019 Big Horn w/base 6-spkr system and ANC, and it sounds amazing. The sub is pn 68277288AB (premium audio). Total load on the channel is 2.67-Ohms which I got by splicing the (3) voice coils into the left rear door speaker output at the ANC (1x 2-Ohm speaker in the left rear door, (3) 2-Ohm voice coils in sub).

Any pictures of the install? Did you also add an amp or use the one with the subwoofer ?

I was going to install the factory Mopar amp that went with the sub but I couldn't get the amp to work (no sound) so I decided to just splice into existing ANC module speaker output wires. The sub was factory so it bolted right into place on the rear cabin wall behind the rear seat. I did have to cut out an 8" circle on the rear cabin trim panel using a compass to draw the 8" circle, and a razor knife to cut the hole. I used the connector in the Mopar Connection Repair Kit pn# 68030094AA (http://connectors.dcctools.com/home.htm) to connect the sub speaker wires to the sub so I didn't have to cut any wires on the sub itself. I then ran the sub speaker wires along the bottom cabin wall, up the rocker panel along side the factory wiring harness to the ANC module black connector under the drivers seat. The wires I spliced into at the ANC module were pin #5 ( GY/GN LR +), and pin #13 ( GY/DG LR -). I did not disconnect or bypass anything so all the accessories function as they should (noise cancellation, mics, speed adj volume, carplay etc.). I really wasn't thinking it would sound that good but I was totally shocked when I fired up the system and felt the "thump". This actually sounds better than the 9-spkr Alpine system I had in my 2014 Sport.

That connectors link is a gold mine on information.

Are you saying the only connection you made was the speaker wire splice? No other connections for power/etc?

Will it be enough watts per channel to power both the door speaker and the sub? I assume the power splits in half between the speaker and the sub, which will make the sub and speaker sound at not their full potential. Thanks.

Do you still have the factory amp for the sub? If so what would you sell it for?

Has anyone else got a good sound with the sub installed? Post #2 says about no good sound. Thinking about this mod too.

I'd be interested in adding the "factory sub" but then trying to find a replacement woofer for the factory enclosure. Has anyone tried it this way?

My Bighorn 'did' come with the base 6 spkr w/anc non Nav... the sound is Ok for what it is.... But at present I am modding my system to the Factory Alpine 9... I have it half complete and it doesn't sound too bad... I wanted to keep it simple and clean... don't need my ears to bleed---been there :) I am using all OEM parts ( mostly )
Once complete, if there is enough interest, I will post a how-to with part numbers...
