I have a very inefficient combo: 2019 Hemi w/ e-torque, 4x4, 3.92 gears, crew cab long box, front valence removed, 6” lift, 37” MTs; BUT I use auto stop/start and I have a pretty light foot. Around town I get 12 avg & highway is 14 avg. So I guess 13 combined if I drove 50/50.

What actual mpgs are you guys getting on the v8 vvts (empty bed, not towning anything)? I've read anything from 11 mpg to 19. Just trying to determine fact from fiction.

Hi. I just drove my 2020 1500 w/5.7 from Wisconsin to Florida, and generally have a very light foot. I averaged 21.7 mi per gallon during the trip. I use 89 octane gasoline. Since I've been in Florida and I'm now doing mostly city driving, it's dropped down to 20.8. Thanks.

2019 1500 5.7 3.92 leveled 34” all terrains 16.7 mpg 180 mile round trip daily commute 95% 75mph highway with cruise. Hauling my boat approx 2600lbs Michigan to Tennessee And back 15.1 mpg hand calculated loaded cab and bed, I was impressed with that. However that daily mpg is trash considering my leveled 2014 5.7 3.21 33” all terrains got 20.4 mpg all highway. I would not buy 3.92 gears again. Never had a problem with my 14 being slow and it hauled wood 3x per week like a champ.

2021 Rebel, <5,000miles, I drove the last tank like grandpa and spent a lot of time at ~53mph, as it reads 24 or so mpg there. Almost all highway driving for 350 miles, I got a hand calculated 17mpg even. The computer said 18.4mpg. All on 87 octane.

I've gotten hand calculated 16's pretty regular, and hand calculated low 15's when driving at normal speeds without pissing anyone off. I'd be happier with better, but it's only slightly worse than my old 2500, and I expected 15 combined, so I can't complain.

After I do the first oil change next month, I'll experiment with a few tanks of 89 octane and see what happens. I don't really expect much difference.

2021 5.7 with eTorque, 3.21 gears. Currently have 35" mud tires and I now see 20mpg at 60mph and 18mpg at 75mph. Flat area, no hills. I average 17 with mixed driving.

With stock tires and no level I would average in the 19s during weekdays from work commute with semi tame driving. Mostly highway driving, with little stop and go. Weekends it would drop to around 15 to 17 or so. I do not have a light foot.

I use the auto start/stop often, which does seem to help.

2019 bighorn crew cab standard bed 5.7L and it really depends on the season and where I'm driving. I did a trip from PA to NC over the summer and was averaging 23-24 mpg on the highway. Typical week of driving I'm more around the 18-19 mpg. We've had a crazy cold snap here this past week or two with some snow so I'm now down around 12-13 mpg with the cold starts and 4wd.

Do you drive pretty hard? Since first getting bigger tires and having my speedometer calibrated i've gone down some. Started driving a little harder like I did before the larger tires. Now I float around 17mpg on work commute and weekends it'll dip down to around 15 or so. I find that remote starts really mess with my mpg reading, so i'll try to reset it often or not let it run too long before i start driving. Not too too cold where I am.

On average I get about 16 mpg on summer blend and 15 mpg on winter blend. It goes up and down a bit as driving conditions and highway/city % changes between tanks but I'd say that's my overall.

If I do almost all highway then I can add about 1mpg to that. Depending on how "frisky" I'm feeling I can easily get down in the 13's for a tank .

Getting about the same, but mostly short trips under 6 miles one way, and with town driving mostly. In the summer out on the open road on long trips I get 20/25 running 55/60. But that isn't the norm. At 70/75 I get 18/20.
