Took the family for a ride yesterday and the anc was loud and present. You could definitely hear the drone noise it when the rpms were low. Open a window and it stopped immediately.

I started researching the issue and came across the TSB-08-033-19, but my truck does not fall into the date range listed one the truck. The references build dates on or before April 2018. My truck was made in August 2018. Will the dealer still complete the update?

You're wrong on the date/year info you're thinking.....That TSB applies to Ram build dates prior to April 4, 2019

So...your truck definitely would be applicable to the TSB. My truck has a build date of late March 2019 and I'm bringing it in to have the TSB done...already confirmed it applies to mine with dealer service manager.

Thanks for the reply. I have a appointment set for Tuesday to have my local dealer look into it. I followed the testing procedures in the TSB and I was able to replicate the noise consistently. Hopefully they can get it sorted out.

Thanks again for the reply.

I had my truck in twice to the dealer and they could not get the sound to reproduce so they said they couldn't do anything. I purchased my truck in January so I know it was built before April 2019, but they said it doesn't fall under the TSB. Not sure what to do now. Is there a way to get this to happen more consistently? Ruins the truck for me and ruined the dealership for me also. Never had a problem with them before but they just don't seem interested in fixing this.

I'm having the same issue right now. My truck is currently at the dealership for a recall and issues with my Apple Car Play not working. I mentioned to them about the drone/humming noise happening 3-4 times since owning the truck (first time at 900 miles) and the service guys says its the first time he's heard of the issue. He didn't really sound interested in listening to me describe the issue. It's really hard to describe the issue when you don't know exactly what it is or where its coming from.

I just got off the phone with the service guy to check the progress and was letting him know about the TSB-08-033-19 and he was completely rude and argumentative and just blew me off. I hate that it is ruining my experience with the dealership because of the issue. I wasn't trying to tell him or the techs how do to do their job, I was simply trying to inform them of the TSB so that it may be easier to diagnose since he stated he's never heard of the issue.

What did you do to replicate the noise? I read the TSB and it says to loading rear seat with equipment/passengers. Did you put a bunch of stuff in the back or have 2 people back there?

I was never able to recreate the noise and I don't know how. I have a dash camera in my truck and can review it remotely so I was watching the techs during the test drive trying to recreate the issue. One was driving and one sat in the backseat. I heard them talking about a noise coming from the rear of my truck but they couldn't see cause of my bed cover so they stopped and got out. I had a crowbar in the bed that I had put there just a couple days before so I know that wasn't the issue, plus never described a noise like that would make but they acted like that was possibly the issue I was describing.

I had this issue as well. Instead of doing the flash my dealer just swapped out the ANC module and this took care of the issue.

Yes, the service people at my dealer HATE when i bring up a TSB they are not aware of, this seems to be the case for all of them :)

Don't know if you're speaking with the service manager/supervisor or not but that's who you need to talk to....if he is giving you sh*t then you need to call the GM of the dealership. If it were me I'd say I'm not taking the truck back until the issue is fixed (and BS them that if they want to leave it on their lot for days fine...it will help me with a Lemon Law claim). Fortunately I have a great service manager and had no issue....I really don't get this dude's problem....the fix is an easy software update that takes a few minutes, not a major repair.

Hello,

They did look at it, but they were not able to replicate the noise while at the shop. I was not either. It was fine for a couple of days and now it is back. I am going to take it back again within the next week. Thanks

I experienced this low rumbling sound for the first time today. I have a new 2019 Bighorn, less than 1000 miles. It occurred at low speeds or even slowing at any speed. It was raining like crazy at the time. Later today, the wife and I went to the grocery, short trip, no duplication of the problem. Based on all the posts that I have seen on here, sounds like it may have to do with the Active Noice Cancellation system, but I can’t find much on that in my manual.
