I have a tone in the cab at certain speeds while decelerating. You can feel it in the door panels and floorboards. I have even had it do it at cold start idling down. I at first I thought it was rear gear noise but being in park at cold start up eliminates that. I was thinking the noise canceling thing but I rolled down windows this morning to eliminate that. Still did it. Its a very fast vibration with a deep tone. Reminds me of u joint vibration.

Gear limit the truck to 8th gear and see if this gets rid of the noise under the same conditions. Decelerating might kick the truck into eco-mode if it wasn't already and activate the ANC and the ATMM's. Gear limiting or using Tow/Haul mode will prevent the truck from going into eco-mode.

I would check all the bolts on my your drivers side ATMM. Now with full immunity disclosure, I'd then unplug the module and go for a spin to see if that does the trick. If so then it's off to warranty you go! I'd say pull the fuse but that also powers many other systems you'd be better off not messing with.

Good luck!

Ok, I will try that thank you!!!!!

Forgive me but what is the atmm and it is ok to unplug it right? LOL. Thank you!!!!!

"Active Tuned Mass Modules, ATMMs, which are essentially little cans bolted to the frame rails on either side of the truck, with solenoid-activated weights inside.

As the HEMI engine’s Multi-Displacement System kicks in, and sends the truck into four-cylinder mode, an underhood sensor picks up unwanted vibrations, and triggers these ATMMs to shake their internal weights in a way that’s 180 degrees out of phase with the engine’s unwanted vibration, thus canceling it out and yielding a smooth experience for occupants. This concept is called destructive interference, and it requires tweaking to the ATMMs depending upon the frame length" jalopnikIMG_20181111_135723348a.jpg

Thank you for the explanation!!!!! Great info!

Mine must be working as I don't feel anything different when it goes to ECO or back to the 8. It is smooth as can be so far. Thanks for the information as to how they work.

So I unplugged the ATMMs on both sides and noise is still there. Guess im just going to take truck in to dealership and let them figure it out.

Hi Splitdecision71,
We understand why this may be concerning. Please feel free to send us a private message if you would like any additional assistance while your truck is at the dealer.

Sorry to hear that. Well I believe in 2 things in February (lucky you):

1. Tom Brady is the greatest of all time.
2. Warranty make the new truck investment worthwhile.

Have you taking it into the dealership yet? Curious to what they say, I am having the same issue with mine but have not gone to dealer yet. Thanks
