6" lift on a with 37s performance report?

Been rolling 6" CO with 37s since November and LOVE it. I do NOT treat this truck with love and tenderness, either... I drive it like it's a lowered Civic that I stole and it handles awesome in the curves and handles the 4X LOW stuff without a hiccup. If you're dumping $5k-10K on lift/wheels/tires, are you really that intimidated by the MPG?

I'm running 37s, on 22x12 fuel blitz (-44 offset). My truck has the 3.92 gears and a 5 inch RC lift with additional 1" through revel links. There's plenty of power, I don't have any issues getting up to speed or passing or anything, it's actually faster than my wife's turbo SUV. mpg is about 12.

If I had known better, I'd have gone with a 22x10 (or smaller diameter with same offset) as the offset is a bit aggressive and I feel a -25 would look nicer. But oh well, been running this set up for about 3 years now. Also had to do a lot of trimming to get rid of rubbing, trimmed back the metal tab, trimmed the front valance, trimmed wheel well in various places, trimmed fender flares on the bottom near the tab and bolted all the plastic wheel well away from the wheels.

Pinch weld is down to 1 bolt from the original 2 , trimmed it by half .. with the revel links It's a little bit stiffer but not too bad, i normally leave it in normal all the time and drives like any regular truck would i suppose.. i can actually drive around in Aero (which would be closer to your normal), and i do on longer highway trips etc., but it does rub a little bit when fully locking the wheel to either side. I do still have OR1 and OR2, but OR2 is so stiff and bouncy, it's unusable unless going over soft terrain at 5mph.

I ended up going with 35s instead of 37s with the 6in lift. Also added the RC eboards which I think make the truck look way better

Yes. 20x10 with 35s X 12.5

Just making sure it's good move being cautious. Didn't know if it was too large of a lift for the wheel base. Don't want to kill the feel of drive.

for 5.2K?? for that in Texas? thats damn good. shoot i ask for the set up i have on my truck and they were talking about 5k. i hung on on them. There on meth. at that point i should have drove my happy ahh to Texas for a 6" lift. is that with labor? god that makes me mad.

With the body lift, did you lose the front bumper tow hooks? Or did you not have them to begin with? Also, do the power side steps go up with the body lift or will there be a gap between them and the cab when they're not in use? (Looks like they mount to the body so probably not an issue)

Exactly the setup I'm going with minus the Rebels in black. Looks great!

I did loose my tow hooks with the body lift and the amp power boards do attach to the body so there’s no problem with them. I also have 2” extensions on my boards so the wife can get in easier and now they hang down from the body a little bit. Here’s a picture of the boards with the extensions on them. I have 3:23 gears because I haven’t found any place that can regear the front differential because the ring gear is welded on instead of bolted on.

I was on 35s from Jan 2020 to July 21 and then 37s since then until now - so a little over two years. I don’t beat my truck off road like some people, but I do take it out on the trails and have fun! My truck is on a BDS lift and basically set up 1” lower up front and 2” lower in the rear than most 6” kits and I still clear the 37x13.50 Toyo MT tires just fine with 18x9 -12 offset. Those tires are actually 14.2 wide too. I was actually supposed to get 38s this week but they became backordered again so instead of doing 38s I may add 19mm wheel adapters instead to push out the stance a bit & it’ll be insanely close to the bumper but still no bumper trimming and only mild pinch weld trimming. As far as breaking stuff with 37s I haven’t had any issues aside from wearing the tie rod ends out at 32k miles. Pretty cheap $150 fix though. 35s perform much better on these trucks but the 37s look infinitely better. Plain and simple. After having 37s (and getting used to how the truck behaves with them) I can’t imagine ever going back haha

Lmao thanks for the compliment dude. Nothing glamorous - was doing construction but I want to start getting into making mods for these trucks. First product I designed in CAD and will be selling soon is the lower grille kit with the 3” pods flush mounted inside!

If you want a switch panel installed or customized or LED lights installed inside (or outside) those are extra and that doesn’t include the Katzkin leather obviously haha. I figured that with the tow hooks. I'm going to see if I can source a longer bolt and just use some spacers to drop the tow hooks back down, similar to the spacers that come in the carrier bolt drop kit. I'll never actually use the front tow hooks for anything so I'm not worried about functionality, just love the look of them being there. Did you install the body lift yourself? Wondering how long/difficult it would be to do in a driveway.
