Hey all,
I picked up a 2022 limited with the diamond metallic black paint back in February and have recently got around to doing a full polish and ceramic coat. Turned out fantastic, next to no swirls left, love it. However, while spending so much time staring at the paint close up, I noticed a sort of haziness, almost like foggy water under the paint on a couple panels (I had seen it faintly before polishing but figured it’d come out later). Polishing didn’t do anything for these, and I didn’t intend on hitting things too hard, as I’d like to leave as much clear on it as possible. From what I could tell, it likely had never been polished before.
Anyways, has anyone else experienced this? ChatGPT mentioned that stellantis is aware of the ram clearcoat issues, I just can’t track down exactly what it is. I assume I’m stuck with it but would just like to know what’s going on.
