4th Gen 1500's get to live another year

With the all new 2019 Ram 1500 "DT" starting production at Sterling heights Assembly plant (SHAP), Warren Truck, where the current 4th Gen 1500 Crew and Quad Cabs are built will continue building 4th Gens for the 2019 Model Year. These trucks will be called Ram Classic and will be built until SHAP ramps production up full bore and is able to keep up with demand. At that point Warren Truck will shut down and go through a $1billion US dollar update in preparation to build the "WS" Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer as well as the 5th Generation Ram Heavy duties.

Correct. The DS will have a limited run for Quad Cab and Crew Cab models. Regular Cab models will get a full-year production run. All 2019 Ram 1500 (DS) models will carry the "Ram Classic" name for the model year.
