Hey I’m new here. I‘ve been searching to see if you could fit a 35x12.50r20 on the stock Laramie 20’s without a wheel spacer and with a 2” level on the front. I tow frequently and often have a load in the bed so I wanted a little rake still so I went with the motofab 2” strut spacer on the front. Seeing that the stock UCA is used by ram on trucks with up to a 2” lift I chose not to replace it.

I couldn’t find a definitive answer on whether or not 35’s would fit without a wheel spacer and I was concerned that I may hit the balljoint on the upper control arm but I’m happy to report they don’t hit! It’s tight but they clear. Other than that it looks like the only rubbing will be the Mopar mud flaps

The truck is a 19 Laramie with 3.92’s and the flowmaster outlaw bolt in replacement muffler.

Nice work and beautiful truck. I'm doing 295 50 20 ridge w level. (34) and have the same truck in granite. So this helped me out. Congrats again.

Really Nice looking truck.

How's the ride? I'm hesitant to get into a set of LT's because I don't want a harsh ride, so I've been looking at 33" P-tires. I also tow so I know an LT will tow better.

Hows' the road noise?

The ride is good. I have the tires at 40 psi and you definitely feel some more of the smaller bumps but it doesn’t bother me. I’m going to drop the pressure down to 35 and I’m expecting that will take care of the smaller bumps.

The 8 speed and 3.92’s make a world of difference as far as feeling the extra weight of the tires goes during acceleration. My understanding is that the 8 speed has a really low first gear which helps.

The factory tires that come on these truck are awful for anything but driving on the street. They have soft sidewalls and that leads to tire squirm while towing and sidewall punctures. When I had these new tires put on they pulled a nail out of the sidewall of one of my oem tires that I hadn’t seen. Light cheap tires get good gas mileage and are more comfortable but to me the trade off is durability and performance when you use your truck for more than what those tires are intended for.

Heres a couple more pictures of the trimming involved to not get tire rub. The main culprits I found are the factory mud flaps, the lower corners of the inner fender liner on both sides of the upper coilover mount, and the rear inner portion of the fender liner where you can see I ziptied it back to the body mount.

Those tires look good on your truck. I was wanting to go with 35s myself but was also concerned about rubbing. Have you noticed how much your gas mileage has gone down?

It really all depends on what kind of driving you do and the tires you choose. A heavier tire with city driving and your gears is not a good combination for good gas mileage. I have 3.92’s and I gained mpg driving 75-80 on the highway if I cruise consistently due to the lower rpms at those speeds vs stock tires. In town I lost probably 1.5-2 mpg and I’d expect your gears to be worse than that.

Now that I’ve put a couple thousand miles on the tires including plenty of mixed driving I’m still happy with my decision. 35’s definitely make it feel/drive more like a truck and less like a sedan which I like. I aired down to 35 psi and the tires smoothed out significantly. I’m going to see what the tread looks like and possibly go down further than that to the 30ish range.

My last truck was a Ram 2500 on 36 inch Toyo MT’s with new springs front and rear and King 2.5 shocks. Even with that suspension setup if the tires were over 35 psi without a load the truck got bouncy.

Here’s a little update after a trip today. Tires work great and don’t rub anywhere after doing the initial modifications.

Well after almost a month with my lift and 34” tires, I’m surprisingly still getting a little over 14 MPGs around town which is most of what my driving consist of and about what I was getting before any mods. I’m running 40 PSI.

Good stuff, I’m still debating over 33 or 35s when time comes. Info and pics here are a help. Ty

I have a 2" level and went with 295 60 20 on the stock rims. I get a little rub at full lock when backing up, but that's it. The 10 ply tire definitely stiffened the ride and the size/weight has affected mpg by about 2.
I'm getting 14-15 around town and 16-17 on hwy

phew thank goodness. I have a 2" level and I've been trying to decide which tire/wheel size combo to get... and well I kind of put the cart before the horse and already ordered a set of 35x12.5x20 nittos and some aftermarket rims at a 0 offset. Sooooo here's to hoping my setup with fit if your stock set up did!

Love the setup. I don’t have a lift just yet for my Laramie...so I’m going to try and order tires before I order the lift. Hopefully, I won’t rub too much. I just need something more aggressive.
