Does anyone make the bracket for adding the third strap on the 33 gallon tank?

Didn’t know we needed to add an extra strap to the gas tank. I’m assuming however it is mounted can support the full weight of a full tank of fuel

I currently have the 26 gallon, has two straps the 33 gallon has three some truck came with the beam from factory for third strap , my truck didn’t.

Huge thread on adding the tank, and I'm pretty sure I've read about either welding the bracket on or retrofitting one.

Anyone know how feasible swapping gas tanks would be? My mileage thus far has been pretty terrible and I’m kinda regretting not getting the larger gas tank. I would think it could dropped in and replace/recalibrate the fuel level sensor.

Yea I got the 26gal so most of it was similar like the fuel pump. So my 33gal should be here in 2hrs (driver just called me) so will see what it looks like what Im seeing I need from under the car without removing the old tank just yet. Then I will need to start ordering these hoses and vent...

@RJS fully agree with you on the strap there, I like that you measured it as more proof on the length of the area left unsupported. I know in that other thread where a member had the dealer do it and the techs claimed it will be fine without, I call straight BS on that. Techs dont give a crap...

if you have that tab, all you need is the strap and a bolt to secure it.

I completed this and ran it for a few months without the strap. I did not have any issues but was very concerned as there is quite a bit of tank unsupported. As I shown earlier in this thread I ended up having a friend fan and install the third strap. I can pm anyone his number as he could...

the diesel tank is shaped different it's not nearly as long and is wider.
