Update: RamRod has officially been offroad and I dont think there isn't anything it cant do now. I was able to do 45 on a dirtroad and soak up the non-graded road plus cross a creek. It does just about everything I wanted it to.
What size tires and wheels you go with? offset numbers too if you have them.

The wait far as getting the lift suck but was well worth it. Like the ride so far. Only had one small issue but was able to correct it. The passenger side coil over bracket was in the wrong direction but was able to spin the coil over 180 which I reached out to several people before trying. The only modifications needed to be done was on the rear shock mount you have to grind down some on the bottom mount for clearance of the shock body and also cut out some of the front wheel well plastic for clearance for the reservoirs. Rear springs I didn't mark before pulling so hopefully they are in correct spots. Still not sure on that part or if it matters. Netted a lil over 3" in the front at the current setting it came with after it finally settled and then a little over 1.5" in the rear. Was hoping for a little more lift in the rear, but so far I am very happy with the kit. Only downfall was it took me 2 days to install which I guess is not too bad with doing it in the driveway by myself with fiancé fetching tools and beverages! Only thing left now is to retorque everything after driving it some.

Getting my kit in a couple of weeks. I’m pretty handy with DIY, and have a helper. I don’t have a spring compressor or a press. Ok to do myself, or should I find a shop?

How are the angles on the cv axles after installing this lift versus before?

Just finished my install this weekend, including an upsize to 35” tires. About 8 hours work over two days. UCA ball joints were a real PITA to decouple, but a lot of WD40, a sledge, and some swear words got it done.

A few pics, including before and after. Install experience is fresh, so feel free to ask questions.

Does it feel a bit bouncy to you?

It does. I took it for a 30 mile drive just after install, and was disappointed. Couldn’t drink from my cup of coffee while in motion, lol.

I also think it was slightly better today. I’m hoping it settles down even more. Initial thoughts is that I may need to increase the preload on front coil overs, but I’ll give it a couple of weeks before I make any adjustments.

Mine still does it. Kind of frustrating that it feels like this. I’ve had mine on now 6 months.

I just don't have a reference point. I expected to lose the factory ride quality on road...but not sure if the results are typical of a 3 inch lift on this particular vehicle.

Let's figure this out. I went from stock 275s up to 35s. I think the mass and weight increase on the rubber is going to cause some of this. Also, found that the guys that mounted the tires inflated them to 42. I dropped it down to 35 PSI based on this calculator.

Just drove around the block, and it seemed a bit better. Maybe my imagination?

Can you do me a favor and get a measurement from the center of your front wheel hub to the front fender and from ground to the fender?

I’ve tried almost everything. Fabtech says their shocks are rated for high speeds. So its not as bad at 50 + but under that I feel like I am driving a tractor

Have you tried backing off the preload nut on front coil overs to see what it does to the ride?

I haven’t. Did you?
Not yet. The backyard engineer in me says it might help. But I have one more modification I am making that will affect the weight of the truck....new off road steel bumper in front. I would expect the increased front end weight will have some effect. Plan to install it next week, and see if it makes a difference before I start playing with the preload.

That looks so good brother! I have a quad cab also and the stance of your truck looks perfect!

What gear ratio do you have? What exact tire size are you running? How much lift did you get total front and rear?

3.92 gears. 3 inches up front, 1.5 in rear.

Tires are 35x12.5. If I had to do it over, I’d go with a slightly narrower metric size for weight savings and clearance issues.

Did you ever figure out the bouncing from the rear?
