So I got rid of my 22’s shod with venom pure 33/12.5’s and got a set of ‘23 Longhorn 20” take off rims.
Searched online for AT tires with lowest road noise. All reviews I read about Dueler Ascent AT said it’s a quiet tire.
It ain’t.
Sounds like a cat wining/howling or wheel bearing on its way out. The venom pures were loud and sounded like semi truck tires on the highway.
Plus the Ascents are by no means comfortable, I guess 55 profile is still low. They handle well.
Any one have pictures of 275/60 or 285/60’s on their pickups? The 275’s look a bit narrow on them 20’s.
I’m not concerned over the resultant speedo error.

And which HT tires cause the least road noise? That’s my next move if I can find a good looking HT

I love my 285/65R20's but they would most likely rub a bit more if I didn't have the Off Road Package in my truck. These Rams look excellent with a little wider tire. However 275/65R20's might give you the clearance necessary so you don't have go crazy trimming things.

Tire Rack has pretty good reviews and ratings. I guess there is always CR as well.

In terms of noise for all-terrain tires, CR had the Continental TerrainContact A/T tire rated highest (also highest overall.) It was the only tire to get 5/5 on noise. No other A/T tire got higher than 3/5.

Thanks for that info

My next pickup will have the off road package. I fitted KYB adjustable shocks to the front and raised it an inch only as I prefer a slight rake - so it would clear the larger tires

my '19 laramie 1500 ccsb 4x4 came with the 20" falkens and they were great tires. quiet on the highway, sticky on mountain roads and good in snow. they looked new after thousands of miles many of which were towing our 600# travel trailer. It's time for new tires for my '22 laramie 2500 and if I can find a good deal on some, I will replace the OEM 20" transforce at with a set.

So I went with Deuler Ascent AT 275/55/20. Apart from them feeling hard I thought they were super noisy so I changed them for Bridgestone Alenza HT 275/60/20. This time round the ‘tire noise’ I had thought I was hearing is now even louder! I figured the noise I hear is now louder because the tire is quieter which made me realize it’s not tire noise I’m hearing it something else. It sounds like a wheel bearing going out at the driver’s side front - loudest at 60mph. I’ve felt the wheel after a long trip but there’s no heat.
What gives?

Just got a 2022 Limited, and biggest thing that's standing out for me is the 285/45r22 tires. I had 275/65R20 Bridgestone KO2's on my 2011 Bighorn, and I feel this truck needs more tire to fill out the sport hood. Not to mention, I frequent boat ramps and dirtbike trails, so definitely wanting something more than what I would consider "low-profle" stocks. Been creepign the forums for a week or so now and don't hear much about the KO2's on here, but I have found them to be a fantastic tire. KO3 was just recently released, and that's what I'm thinking I'll try next. They have a great look, and I only started to pick up tire noise after 50,000km or so - and it's not obnoxious, but I notice it. My wife doesn't.

I've been looking for what size I can comfortably get away with and it seems like a 285/55R22 should work (based on what I've read, not what I've measured myself).

On my two past trucks I ran Nitto's and they were real quiet and smooth riding. My last truck I bought with 1000 miles on it and Nitto Ridge Grapplers and lift already installed. I ran those tires until the odometer hit 80,000 miles before I replaced them with the same tire. I still had some tread life left but I don't wait till the last minute. Now, I'm in a 2025 Ram Limited and thinking of replacing these stock tires on 22's with Nittos when it is time.

… the dealer just called - it is the left front wheel bearing. On back order.
Just relieved the noise has been diagnosed and will get fixed.
75 000 miles btw

My 21 Bighorn with Bilsteins leveled in front rubbed with 285/60r20 10 plys and weld fortress wheels until I used heat gun to flatten liner. Comes out to 33.5. I think wheels are 10 wide.
